Job Description

Join us at Zendesk, where we're on a mission to power exceptional service for every person on the planet. We're accelerating that ambition by building products rooted in AI, automation, and intelligent customer experiences, because behind every interaction lies an opportunity to make a human connection.

We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on marketing leader to build the global framework and programs that help Zendesk engage priority accounts and industries—and create measurable pipeline impact. In this role, you’ll turn account, buying-group, industry, and intent insights into relevant marketing experiences that help Sales start better conversations, progress opportunities, and grow Zendesk’s presence in strategic markets.

What you’ll be doing
  • Build and evolve Zendesk’s global account-based experience (ABX) operating model across 1:1 named-account, 1:few cohort, and scaled programs, including account selection, investment levels, planning, activation, measurement, and team readiness.
  • Create repeatable playbooks, workflows, and templates that enable regional teams to activate the right account and industry motions for their markets.
  • Lead paid media strategy for priority-account and cohort programs, defining target accounts, buying groups, audiences, channel mix, sequencing, frequency, investment allocation, creative needs, landing experiences, and success measures.
  • Develop global industry plays and campaign kits, including industry narratives, sales plays, nurture journeys, paid-media templates, personalized web experiences, executive-engagement options, direct-mail concepts, and field enablement.
  • Partner with Regional Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Sales Operations to translate account and intent signals into coordinated programs and timely Sales action.
  • Establish and review performance measures across target-account and contact reach, engagement, buying-group depth, high-intent activity, meetings, opportunity progression, and pipeline influence; use results and field feedback to improve and scale programs.
  • Build responsible, AI-enabled workflows for ad creative and campaign execution, including audience intake, creative briefs, template use, quality checks, approvals, launch handoffs, and reporting.
  • Test new audiences, creative approaches, channels, and account experiences—then share what works so teams can move faster without reinventing the wheel.
What you bring to the role
  • Deep experience developing and executing B2B SaaS account-based marketing, industry marketing, or demand-generation programs that connect engagement to pipeline outcomes.
  • Strong strategic and analytical judgment, with the ability to turn account, industry, buying-group, and intent data into clear plans and practical next steps.
  • Experience planning paid media for named-account and cohort campaigns, from audience strategy and creative development through activation, optimization, and measurement.
  • A collaborative approach to working across Sales, regional marketing, product marketing, creative, and marketing and sales operations teams—especially when priorities, data, and opinions are all in the room.
  • Ability to create scalable campaign frameworks, sales plays, toolkits, and enablement that regional teams can adapt while maintaining a consistent global standard.
  • Comfort using AI-enabled tools to improve the speed and quality of marketing work, while applying critical judgment to validate outputs, protect sensitive information, and follow approved tools and policies.
  • Clear, concise communication skills and the ability to influence decisions across functions and levels.
  • A thoughtful bias for action: you test, learn, improve, and deliver high-quality work with care for the customer experience.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, including 2+ years focused on account-based marketing, industry marketing, demand generation, or paid media.
  • Experience planning and activating 1:1, 1:few, or account-based paid media campaigns, including audience definition, buying-group strategy, creative, channel selection, optimization, and measurement.
  • Experience using account-based advertising platforms, CRM, and marketing data or engagement-signal workflows to identify and engage priority accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect marketing activity to measurable outcomes such as target-account engagement, meetings, opportunity progression, pipeline influence, or revenue impact.
  • Experience using AI-enabled marketing or workflow tools responsibly to improve planning, creative production, campaign execution, or analysis, with appropriate human review and data stewardship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with contact-level ABM advertising platforms such as Influ2, or comparable account-based advertising technologies.
  • Experience building global marketing frameworks, industry plays, campaign kits, and field enablement for regional teams across multiple markets.
  • Familiarity with CDP, intent, buying-group, and account-scoring workflows, as well as creative-template tools such as Canva or similar platforms.
  • Experience developing scalable AI-assisted creative or campaign workflows, including governance, quality assurance, approval processes, and reporting.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
