Purpose:

The Junior IT Operations and Development Specialist will be responsible for supporting the IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations, and assisting in the development of software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a desire to learn, and a proactive attitude.

  • Responsible for the Cinemo & EVS (EV Charging Station) server operation.
  • Responsibilities include quality engineering (quality assurance), quality validation, daily service monitoring, etc.
  • Respond to requests from headquarters, content providers, and other clients. Collaborate with other groups to complete projects.
  • Plan and perform mobile and vehicle tests to verify the quality of the certification server and Cinemo's regular/occasional updates.
  • Maintain and improve the quality of services provided, utilizing the tools needed to verify service quality.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate efforts between all Hyundai subsidiaries. Additional obligations include supporting client tests and collaborating with headquarters. Also, support the overall systems operation between Cinemo, clients, and headquarters.

Essential Functions:

Operation Management

  • Report daily/monthly requests and server resource usage by analyzing data from Cinemo & EVS server
  • Monitor the status of Cinemo authentication server and respond to any malfunctions
  • Reports problems that occur during service validation and tests for fixes

Content Provider (CP) and Server Validation Testing

  • Research and prepare test environments of the vehicle and mobile required to verify the functionality of the software
  • Create and manage test cases of new features
  • Perform local testing for head unit related features on all available platforms
  • Execute, gather and distribute the results of tests and test cases
  • Organize and analyze server log to identify errors and points of improvements
  • Raise issues revealed from testing, check the progress of the fixes, and validate the fixes through additional testing

Incident Management

  • Respond to customer reported issues
  • Respond to and analyze customer issues by investigating and identifying the root cause, reporting a solution, and recommending possible improvements

Development

  • Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and networking concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor of science degree or equivalent technical experience
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, engineering, or other related field
  • Understanding and ability to use collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Non-Professional experience using Connected Car Services such as OEM navigation systems from any car manufacturer
  • Test automation tools
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Strong root-cause analysis skills
  • Knowledge of IT security
  • Minor experience with Cloud Servers such as AWS
  • Excellent oral presentation and writing skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and ability to meet the deadlines
  • Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).

Nice To Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience in automotive technology industry
  • Bi-lingual in Korean and English

Salary Range - $30.47/hour – $43.57/hour
