Xero Company Culture: Inclusion Defines Everything

Being the chairperson of Xero’s employee resource group for women in the U.S. has helped Christina Rowe grow in many ways. “My involvement made it easier to connect and support others in their career journey, and feel supported myself,” she said. With plans to fill 45 percent of its leadership roles with women by 2025, the accounting software organization is putting inclusion at the forefront of its culture. But that’s not the only way in which the team is expanding diversity. By joining any of the company’s more than 20 ERGs, employees can share their voices and drive change. For Rowe, Xero’s focus on education also bolsters its diversity, equity and inclusion efforts: “Having the chance to continually learn from each other is exciting.”
