The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will oversee the manufacturing development of ECLSS hardware for space stations, optimizing processes, partnering with design engineering, maintaining production documentation, and resolving production issues in a fast-paced environment.

As a Senior Mission Operations Engineer, you will lead mission operations, develop spacecraft procedures, analyze telemetry, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring the successful execution of space missions.

Manage day-to-day production for fluid systems work centers, lead supervisors and technicians to meet takt-based targets, resolve build issues with engineering and quality, drive process controls (PFMEA), monitor production metrics, staff shifts, and execute recovery plans to meet program milestones.

12-week, full-time onsite internship in Long Beach supporting manufacturing and tooling for space station hardware. Interns design and build space hardware, apply CAD and analysis tools, solve engineering problems, and collaborate across teams under industry expert mentorship. Enrollment in a relevant engineering degree required.

Embed with manufacturing and test teams to analyze avionics hardware flow, develop KPIs and dashboards, track production efficiency and downtime, prioritize shop-floor issues, build ROI models for assets, and introduce AI-enabled analytical improvements to drive data-driven manufacturing decisions.

Support facilities sourcing and procurement for indirect services: manage contracts, obtain bids, create scopes of work, coordinate job walk-downs, assist with RFPs/POs and vendor selection, ensure ITAR/NDA and safety compliance, produce spend reporting, and support facilities managers and buyers.

Provide legal support in corporate matters and commercial contracts, negotiate transactions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for space station development.

Lead indirect procurement strategy and execution for facilities, capital equipment, and services. Manage RFI/RFQ/RFPs, negotiate contracts (including AIA agreements), oversee suppliers, track contract compliance and metrics, and coordinate with operations, manufacturing, engineering, and senior leadership to deliver cost-effective solutions.

The Senior Lathe Programmer will design and manufacture tools, ensure quality, maintain equipment, and optimize manufacturing processes based on engineering specifications.

Lead reliability integration for Haven-1 structures: drive FMEA and fault-tree analysis, define test plans and verification/validation, shepherd design through build and test, create standards and tools, manage change/configuration, and partner across engineering, risk, and manufacturing to ensure human-rated structural reliability.

Lead build reliability for vehicle integration and test, partnering across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to define readiness criteria, drive process maturity, investigate root causes, implement corrective actions, and mentor teams to improve manufacturability, verification, and flight readiness for human-rated space stations.

Design and develop vehicle structures from concept through production release for human-rated space stations. Define and manage subsystem interfaces, improve design processes through simplification or automation, and support integration and test activities.

Responsible for end-to-end mission success for crewed space missions, coordinating with customers, managing risks, and leading integration of various mission components.

Lead and grow a propulsion and thermal analysis team to establish analysis standards, validate simulation methods (FEA, CFD, 1-D, multiphase/slosh), integrate test and flight data, support propulsion and high-pressure fluid system design, and present findings for certification. Collaborate with design, GN&C, manufacturing, and test teams and drive root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
