Summer supply chain engineering intern supporting Military Aircraft Group: collaborate with sourcing, procurement, operations, and supplier development; provide operational and technical support; contribute to project processes, strategies, and execution; work as a multidisciplinary team member representing Moog professionally.

Lead systems engineering for design, integration, test, and verification of complex electro-mechanical turret and weapon subsystems. Define interfaces, develop and analyze control and signal-processing algorithms and dynamic models, support lab and field testing, generate technical documentation, and provide technical leadership while interfacing with customers and suppliers.

Design and develop high-speed digital circuits and FPGA firmware for flight control and weapons-bay actuators. Perform trade studies, schematic capture, PCB requirements, testbench and simulation-based verification, prototype and integration testing, signal integrity and power/timing analysis, and produce technical documentation and presentations for aerospace programs.

Develop and mature manufacturing processes for production hardware, support NPI and legacy programs, design tooling and fixtures, troubleshoot and optimize machining and gear production, specify capital equipment, implement automation/Industry 4.0 improvements, and provide technical ownership for gear equipment while coordinating cross-functional teams to improve yield and efficiency.

Develop and execute project development plans for defense systems, coordinate implementation and program support, monitor schedule and cost, ensure producible designs transfer to production, liaise with customers and subcontractors, coordinate cross-functional teams, and perform trade studies and analyses to resolve hardware or test anomalies.

Contribute to development, integration, and verification of hydraulic and electromechanical control systems for defense platforms. Create requirements, V&V approaches, verification plans, automated test scripts, and execute system/subsystem integration and qualification testing. Support anomaly investigations and collaborate across development teams and sites.

Design and implement test application software for electrical and mechanical flight control systems. Perform system and software integration, verification, and data acquisition/control for automated test equipment using real and simulated hardware. Define and implement software requirements, execute verification testing, maintain software in target environments, and support continuous improvement. May require domestic travel (up to 5%) and access to export-controlled information; potential need to obtain U.S. security clearance.

Develop, integrate, and verify embedded real-time flight software for aircraft control systems. Perform debugging, maintenance, system-level testing with real and simulated hardware, collaborate on requirements and design, and drive process and technology improvements. Support verification and lab testing; occasional domestic travel.

Design, integrate, and verify hydraulic and electromechanical aircraft control systems. Develop system architecture, requirements, verification/validation plans, test procedures, real-time models, automated test scripts, and documentation. Coordinate across teams and support integration, test, and anomaly investigations.

Perform mechanical component and assembly analysis across the product lifecycle: conceptual sizing, detailed FEA and vibration/fatigue evaluations, root-cause investigations of test anomalies, production troubleshooting, and development of analysis tools and automation. Create and review stress reports, technical memoranda, and production drawings, and support technology roadmap and IR&D initiatives.

Develop, optimize, and sustain multi-axis CNC programs and manufacturing processes. Plan operations, design tooling/fixtures, produce documentation and SOPs, support production troubleshooting and FAIs, apply Lean improvements, collaborate on DFM, and assist equipment acquisition.

Lead technical architect for flight control and motor control electronics. Define system architectures, design high-power motor inverters, gate drives, control circuits, microprocessor/FPGA-based systems, and firmware. Drive V&V and qualification, ensure EMI/EMC and environmental compliance, mentor engineers, and coordinate with customers, programs, and suppliers.

Coordinate program activities from contract award through software and hardware delivery as the single customer contact. Manage program performance, status reporting, and a matrixed team (Engineering, Operations, Quality, Procurement, Contracts). Ensure contractual compliance and scope adherence, handle multiple priorities under pressure. Some travel and security-clearance eligibility required.

Lead a team of ~25 engineers designing rotary geared actuators and complex actuation systems for military aircraft. Provide technical leadership, drive design excellence and DFMA/DFM practices, manage staffing and performance, collaborate with customers and global teams, and support continuous process improvement and program execution.

Manage product delivery for turreted weapon systems across lifecycle: support proposals, design reviews, qualification, production, and sustainment. Coordinate cross-functional teams, generate technical data and procedures, investigate failures, and improve assembly, test methods, and product quality.

Develop and mature manufacturing processes for aerospace production hardware, support NPI and legacy programs, design tooling/fixtures, troubleshoot process yield, specify capital equipment, and drive continuous improvement and automation in the machine shop, including technical ownership of gear production equipment.

Lead cross-disciplinary engineering teams as the primary technical customer contact, ensuring technical compliance, producibility, safety, and schedule/budget performance across NPI and production. Drive EVM-based program control, CEAC/RTG activities, resolve production and field quality issues, align technical solutions with business objectives, and coordinate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality organizations.

Lead contract strategy, negotiation, and compliance for Turreted Weapon Systems programs. Mentor junior contracts staff, support proposals, manage FAR/DFARS regulatory risk, liaise with legal, finance, and program teams, and monitor contract financial performance.

Support and develop CNC machining processes, review engineering drawings for producibility, create manufacturing instructions, establish standard times, troubleshoot shop-floor issues, recommend process/equipment improvements, and coordinate with teams to optimize manufacturing flow.
