ClearSplit’s is an automatic repayment app that makes it easy for groups to settle up on a bill.

You’re at dinner with friends, there’s just 1 bill and everyone offers a combination of cards, cash, even IOU’s. You pay the bill and have to remember to get paid back. It’s a pain.

ClearSplit lets you 1) split a bill evenly or exactly, 2) it maintains an ongoing balance of who owes and how much, then 3) lets others set the method and day of their repayment. Great for meals, happy hour, vacation, etc.

By focusing on groups, ClearSplit is inherently viral. If just 1 person in a group uses the app, we have a good chance of getting the others. It expands exponentially from there, since people belong to a wide variety of groups.
