5 fundings in one week
Since last Thursday, five Austin startups have collectively raised $34 million in capital. Ambiq Micro led the week, raising $23 million of a planned $35 million. Plum, Dosh, GenXComm and Remedy all raised seed rounds. [Built In Austin]
Square Root names new VP of product
On Wednesday, Square Root announced Sarah Kampman as the company’s new VP of product. Prior to Square Root, Kampman held leadership roles at the Advisory Board Company in product management and research and development. Square Root’s store relationship management platform supports automotive and retail enterprises with analytical tools that promote transparency within an organization and collaboration to raise store performance. YouEarnedIt launches People
Following January’s $6.5 million Series A, YouEarnedIt released a product update this week with the launch of People. The new platform shows up as a tab for existing YouEarnedIt customers and acts as a search directory for employees to meet, recognize and connect with any employee of their organization virtually. Austin ranks as #3 gaming city in America
WalletHub’s data team ranked the top cities in America by gamer-lifestyle friendliness. Using 20 key indicator points that included internet speeds, number of video-game stores per capita and number of gaming tournaments, they ranked Austin as the third top city behind second-place Seattle and Orlando in first.
