HealthTronics acquires Minnesota-based health tech company
Austin health technology provider HealthTronics announced this week that it has acquired Minnesota-based HealthTech Solutions for an undisclosed amount. HealthTronics, founded in 1989, develops mobile medical technologies and services for physicians and hospitals. HealthTech, founded in 2002, supports technicians that deliver, set up and monitor laser and surgical technology. Its team of 14 will join HealthTronics. [Silicon Hills]
TrendKite to hire big with $16.3M Series D
PR data analytics company TrendKite closed a $16.3 million round of financing led by Adams Street Partners at the end of last week. The company has brought in over $35 million of funding since launching in 2012. TrendKite plans to use the most recent round to expand employee headcount across multiple departments. Klever Logic scores $3M to scale
Parking technology Klever Logic closed a $3 million round of financing led by Austin serial entrepreneurs Sam Goodner and Dan Sharplin. Since its inception in 2011, Klever Logic has launched Flash Valet, FlashPARC and FlashMobile. The company will use the new funding to scale and make executive hires. [Built In Austin]
Lifesize hires first CIO
Lifesize Inc., the video conference provider, has hired its first CIO, Vineet Misra, to join its 250 person team. Misra most recently served as senior director of corporate information technology at Domo Inc, and has previously worked at Cisco Systems and Dell Technologies. [Austin Business Journal]
Moovel to head to Portland
Oregon-based Moovel announced it will relocate its Austin team of 36 to the company's Portland headquarters. The company develops apps for getting around urban areas. When the relocation was announced on Wednesday in a statement, a company representative said the move is intended to increase productivity and efficiency and to allow Moovel to scale faster.
