Web developers are a hot commodity these days, but for those interested in giving it a shot themselves, Divshot may be the answer. The drag-and-drop visual builder lets people construct responsive web apps with professional-quality coding.
Today, the company announced closing a $1.1 million seed round led by Rincon Venture Partners and including investors such as 500 Startups, Daher Capital, Floodlight Ventures, Cooley LLP, Drummond Road Capital, and Eric Hammond.
Word of mouth and organic growth have helped Divshot amass 40,000 users in under a year. The company graduated from the Launchpad LA accelerator, and is currently in a public open beta with plans to launch as a paid service later this year.
“Divshot has the potential to be as ubiquitous for web development as Adobe’s Creative Suite is for visual design,” said Michael Bleigh, cofounder and CEO, in a press release.
