LA Tech Quote of the Week

“People don’t need to know how Azteco or Bitcoin works in order to use it, just as we don’t need to understand the technology behind our mobile phones in order to use them. It’s super simple to use: you have a wallet, you get an Azteco Voucher, you redeem it and then you can spend, save or send your Bitcoin to anyone, anywhere on earth.”— Akin Fernandez, Azteco’s CEO and co-founder

Azteco raised $6M. Working to help unbanked users access financial services, Santa Monica-based Azteco developed a mobile solution that lets users top up digital wallets with Bitcoin vouchers. The platform raised seed funding in a round led by Jack Dorsey to expand its services into countries across the globe. [Built In LA]

Orange Logic pulled in new funding. Orange Logic developed an enterprise solution that works to enable digital asset management and workflow automation. The company received an undisclosed amount of equity funding from Bregal Sagemount to advance its technology and better support marketing and media management teams worldwide. [Business Wire]
