Honest Company IPO raised $412.8MFounded by actress Jessica Alba, the online personal care and household items retailer is valued at $1.44 billion following its IPO last week. It filed for an IPO last month. Originally planning to sell its shares within a range from $14 to $16, Honest sold 25.8 million shares at $16 each and is findable on the Nasdaq under ticker symbol “HNST.” [CNBC]

Kajabi secured $550MProviding creators with the digital infrastructure needed to grow their business, Kajabi has seen significant growth since the start of the pandemic. Now, it’s furthering that growth with its latest mega-round. The Irvine-based unicorn closed on a raise led by Tiger Global Management, and now it’s looking to hire across departments including engineering, product and marketing. [Built In LA]

With the addition of its Series B capital, ReCharge is planning to build out its team to 300 people with a focus on product and engineering. Genies pulled in $65MThe platform has helped music artists create digital avatars to promote their album releases. Now, the Venice-based startup is expanding the beta version of its product to cater to a wider consumer base. It offers style, body type, clothing and accessory options for users to customize their digital characters. Genies planning to onboard 100 new team members with the new funding. [Built In LA]

Copper Cow Coffee raised $8.5MDealing exclusively in Vietnamese coffee, the startup pulled in Series A funding to expand the distribution of its pour-over latte kits. Its products are sustainably produced and available at more than 3,000 retailers nationwide. The funding round was led by Cultivian Sandbox and Arborview Capital. [Built In LA]

Arcturus got $5MThis company creates interactive human holograms by using cameras and depth sensors to create volumetric video. Its HoloSuite product acts as an SaaS platform for editing and distributing such videos. With seed capital led by BITKRAFT Ventures, Arcturus is hiring for roles on its software development team. Wave adds WMG as an investorIt’s become the norm to consume live entertainment digitally as of late, and now with the help of new investor Warner Music Group, virtual concert company Wave is planning to bring new features to its immersive platform. Wave projects an artist avatar into a digital performance space and provides fans with interactive features to use during the show. [Built In LA]

RepairSmith expands into TexasThe LA-headquartered on-site vehicle repair and maintenance service provider announced that it’s now available in Dallas and Houston. It offers services for car owners at their home or workplace as well as on-site repairs for fleets, employers and property managers.
