Who We’re Seeking:

A dynamic Director of Business Development, Omaze Made who is excited to be a integral part in growing our newest business line. We launched Omaze Made, our merchandise campaign initiative, in 2016 and we've seen that our best campaigns are cause-driven and related to current events. Our ideal candidate for this role straddles the worlds of activism and entertainment. You can list your favorite political follows on Twitter and which entertainers are LGBTQ activists. Your experience could include formulating strategic partnerships with talent, working on political campaigns, and initiating creative fundraising strategies for your favorite causes. In this role, you'll get to cultivate relationships with nonprofits and formulate high-impact campaigns that not only raise significant funds but also push out a timely and important message. You don't have to currently wear a lot of t-shirts, but you should be open to the fact that they will become an important part of your wardrobe. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Target and secure new partnerships with the world's top actors, musicians, thought-leaders, activists, and nonprofits to drive significant funds and awareness for important causes
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to accelerate growth of the merchandise business
  • Liaise between external stakeholders and internal teams, in pursuit of win-win solutions for all parties

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • You have 5+ years of business development, partnerships, sales, and/or online fundraising experience
  • You have strong ties to both the activist and entertainment worlds and have a proven track record of successfully growing revenue through the development of strategic relationships
  • KPIs motivate you, and you’re always striving to smash your personal records
  • You are persuasive, tactful and an excellent communicator
  • You have your finger on the pulse of what's happening in both politics and pop culture
  • You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • You take your work seriously but not yourself

Location

The office is located in Marina del Rey with easy access to plenty of restaurants. We are close to LAX, beaches and Marina.
