Reporting to the Global Head of Business Readiness, own end-to-end Business Readiness outcomes for an assigned portfolio from intake and impact assessment through implementation, adoption, hypercare, and transition to BAU. Lead the three Associates as a pooled delivery team, set the proportionate Business Readiness approach, assure the quality of plans and evidence, manage portfolio demand and capacity, and provide formal readiness recommendations. Communications, Procedures, and Training will be delivered by partner teams that liaise with the central Business Readiness team; the Vice President is accountable for integrating their deliverables into the overall Business Readiness plan and escalating gaps or dependencies.
Responsibilities:
· End-to-end accountability for Business Readiness outcomes across an assigned portfolio, including intake, assessment, integrated planning, implementation, adoption, hypercare, and transition to BAU.
· Lead and allocate work across the three Associates, balancing demand, complexity, capacity, development, and cross-portfolio coverage.
· Own portfolio readiness governance, quality assurance, stage-gate recommendations, risk escalation, remediation, and adoption performance.
· Maintain the partnership model with Communications, Procedures, and Training teams, which deliver their specialist outputs while liaising with the central Business Readiness team.
· Own portfolio intake, prioritisation, and governance, confirming scope, ownership, audiences, timing, dependencies, complexity, controls, and success measures.
· Lead impact, stakeholder, operational, and change-saturation assessments with requestors and Business Solutions Owners; determine the proportionate Business Readiness approach and required deliverables.
· Allocate lower- and medium-complexity changes across the three Associates, directly lead the most complex or strategically significant changes, and rebalance capacity as portfolio demand changes.
· Set expectations for integrated Business Readiness plans and assure their quality, completeness, proportionality, evidence, dependencies, and alignment with release governance and control requirements.
· Provide formal, evidence-based Business Readiness recommendations at stage gates, including proceed, proceed with conditions, remediate, escalate, or defer within defined decision thresholds.
· Build senior stakeholder, sponsor, and people-manager engagement plans; identify resistance, cumulative change impacts, and organizational constraints, and drive timely decisions and interventions.
· Integrate Business Readiness activity with Business, Product, Technology, PMO, Operations, Risk, and Controls delivery plans, release calendars, cutover plans, and BAU transition arrangements.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Communications, Procedures, and Training partner teams. These partners are responsible for designing and delivering their specialist outputs and will liaise with the central Business Readiness team; the Vice President will agree requirements, milestones, dependencies, and evidence, integrate their outputs into the overall plan, and escalate delivery risks.
· Oversee cutover readiness, release support, hypercare, and transition to BAU across the portfolio, ensuring ownership, exit criteria, unresolved issues, and follow-up actions are clear.
· Monitor portfolio readiness, adoption, operational performance, and stakeholder feedback against agreed baselines and targets; direct remediation when outcomes are off track.
· Maintain the portfolio demand, capacity, dependency, risk, and escalation view; provide clear recommendations to the Global Head of Business Readiness on priorities, trade-offs, and resource constraints.
· Coach the three Associates, review material assessments and recommendations, promote peer quality reviews, and ensure consistent use of Business Readiness standards, playbooks, templates, workflow tools, and reporting.
· Use lessons learned, quality findings, adoption data, and partner feedback to improve the Business Readiness methodology and central service.
