Affinity is a relationship intelligence platform that helps dealmakers find, manage, and close more deals by leveraging the power of their network. As we evolve how we work, we’re launching a Future of Work initiative to open hubs in select cities, enabling deeper connection through intentional coworking and in-person opportunities.

To support this, we’re hiring a Workplace Experience Manager—a high-impact, highly visible role embedded within our People team. You’ll be a key contributor to the strategies that drive engagement, connection, and operational excellence across the company. From leading our coworking hub rollout to ensuring every Affinian—whether remote or in-office—has a thoughtful and consistent workplace experience, you’ll play an integral part in shaping how we work and thrive together.

This role reports to the SVP of People and is based in our San Francisco hub.

What will I be doing?

  • Develop and execute a workplace strategy grounded in business needs, employee feedback, and evolving priorities.
  • Lead initiatives that foster in-person and remote connection, community, and engagement across the company.
  • Plan and execute internal events and experiences that reflect Affinity’s culture and values.
  • Oversee workplace design, space planning, and vendor management (property management, security, cleaning, etc.).
  • Manage and forecast the workplace experience budget, balancing operational needs and strategic investments.
  • Track and analyze key metrics to drive continuous improvement and data-informed decisions.
  • Partner cross-functionally (People, IT, department leads) to coordinate all onboarding logistics, ensuring timely setup, access, and resources for new hires.
  • Own the end-to-end onboarding experience, from new hire orientation to feedback loops, continuously enhancing program quality and consistency.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for onboarding, resolving issues and delivering a welcoming, high-quality experience for every new team member.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, championing workplace innovation and hybrid best practices across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing workplace programs, hybrid team operations, and employee experience initiatives—ideally within fast-paced, high-growth tech environments.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels—without relying on formal authority.
  • A bias for action and ability to execute in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with limited guidance.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities with mutilple stakeholders; strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Deep curiosity about team dynamics—you're eager to understand and support different working styles and cultural needs.
  • A passion for equity and inclusion—especially when it comes to designing experiences that support in-office and distributed employees.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for thoughtful, inclusive language.
  • Experience leading or supporting change management initiatives in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Don't meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every qualification. At Affinity, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't perfectly align with the qualifications above, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

What you'll enjoy at Affinity:

  • We live our values: As owners, we take pride in everything we do. We embrace a growth mindset, engage in respectful candor, act as playmakers, and "taste the soup" by diving deep into experiences to create the best outcomes for our colleagues and clients.
  • Health Benefits: We cover your medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums with comprehensive PPO, HDHP and HMO options (in CA), and offer flexible personal & sick days to support your well-being.
  • Retirement Planning: We offer a 401(k) plan to help you plan for your future.
  • Learning & Development: We provide an annual education budget and a comprehensive L&D program.
  • Wellness Support: We reimburse monthly for things like home internet, meals, and wellness memberships/equipment to support your overall health and happiness.
  • Team Connection: Virtual team-building activities and socials to keep our team connected, because building strong relationships is key to success.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
