Job Description

Position Summary:
This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and contribute to a key project focused on
process improvement within the department. This position will be based onsite at Wonderful
Pistachios and Almonds located in Lost Hills, CA. This summer internship is a 6 to 10-week program.

Duties and Responsibilities –

  •  Be knowledgeable and demonstrate proficiency in Problem Solving skills
  •  Prepare layouts, drawings, or sketches of machinery or equipment, such as shop tooling, scale
  • layouts, or new equipment design, using drafting equipment or computer-aided design (CAD)
  • software
  •  Prepare portions of capital projects including project scope and budgeting
  •  Produce details of specifications and outline designs
  •  Work with Operations Team, coordinating with Production Control and Packaging Reliability
  •  Collaborate with team members to validate and refine procedures.
  •  Work on a designated project aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness.
  •  Collaborate with team members to implement and test process improvements.
  •  Track and report key performance indicators related to the processes.
  •  Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  •  Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00/hour

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications
 Must be Wonderful Scholar enrolled in the College Success program.
 Must be 18 years of age
 Analytical and problem-solving skills.
 Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
 Must be able to work flexible schedules.
 Eagerness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
 Be prepared to work in a manufacturing environment characterized by varying temperatures
(hot or cold) and loud machinery.
 Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish
