The HR Operations Manager will optimize HR operations, oversee payroll, manage benefits, ensure compliance, and enhance employee experience across North America.

We are seeking a proactive, strategic, and experienced HR Operations Manager to lead and optimize critical HR operational functions across our North American business units. This role encompasses payroll administration, benefits management, labor cost and budget oversight, compliance, vendor and broker relations, and HR system improvements. Reporting to the HR Manager, Talent Operations, you will collaborate closely with the broader HR team—including People Experience, Payroll, and Stock Administration—as well as Finance and external partners to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant HR service delivery aligned with the company’s business goals.
This role is ideal for an HR professional who combines hands-on operational expertise with a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and provide valuable insights into labor costs and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities: Payroll Administration & Labor Cost Management
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for U.S. and international employees in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Review and reconcile payroll inputs including timecards, PTO, retroactive pay, and tax notices to ensure data integrity.
- Partner with Finance to manage labor cost forecasting, budgeting, and monthly spend reporting, driving alignment between payroll data and business financial plans.
- Act as a key liaison between employees, HR, Payroll team, and Finance to resolve complex payroll issues and ensure transparency.
- Coordinate with the Stock Plan Administration team to ensure accurate payroll processing of equity-based compensation, including RSUs and stock options, in compliance with tax and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Benefits Strategy & Vendor/Broker Relations
- Lead benefits administration, including enrollment, vendor and broker management, renewals, and compliance audits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with benefits vendors and brokers to negotiate terms, resolve escalations, and optimize cost and service delivery.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR Business Partners to monitor benefit costs, eligibility, and cost allocations.
- Ensure compliance with ACA and other regulatory requirements related to benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities: Fringe Benefits & Employee Reimbursements
- Manage fringe benefit programs, reimbursement workflows, and communications across multiple departments and cost centers.
- Ensure timely, accurate processing and reporting of employee reimbursements.
- Vendor & Invoice Management
- Oversee invoice processing, monthly reconciliations, and payment management for payroll and benefits vendors.
- Coordinate closely with Finance to ensure proper coding and cross-entity expense tracking for budget adherence.
Key Responsibilities: HR Operations & Process Optimization
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve HR workflows, procedures, and system configurations to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Utilize data analytics to generate actionable insights supporting workforce planning, compensation analysis, audits, and executive reporting.
- Lead or actively contribute to cross-functional projects involving HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external partners to drive process improvements and technology adoption.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing policy compliance within HR operations.
Key Responsibilities: Employee Onboarding & HR Support
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of employee data in HRIS systems.
- Support onboarding processes with benefits education and HR system navigation.
- Serve as a resource for escalated benefits and payroll inquiries, partnering with HR teams to enhance the employee experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR operations experience, including at least 2 years managing payroll, benefits, or HR operational teams.
- Proven experience managing labor cost budgets and collaborating with Finance teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor and broker relationship management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll and benefits regulations; international experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems; ADP strongly preferred.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including data reconciliation, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior staff is a plus.
- Fluency in Korean is strongly preferred.
