LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles.

Web Content Manager:

LA28 is looking for a strategic and creative Web Content Manager to join the Digital Engagement & Marketing (DIG) team. 

The Web Content Manager is responsible for driving content strategy, planning, and execution across LA28’s website. Reporting to the Head of Web & App, this role ensures content is aligned to business priorities and delivered in a way that supports evolving fan needs and key moments across the digital experience.

This role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, partnering closely with the Website Manager, Bilingual Content to scale publishing operations while leading content direction, editorial planning, and ongoing optimization across LA28.org. This person will be a key protector of the LA28 brand and a key contributor in building a legacy for the Olympic and Paralympic Movement through the lens of the fans and athletes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the website content strategy aligned to fan needs and business priorities
  • Own the editorial calendar and content pipeline, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality content tied to key moments and campaigns
  • Lead planning and coordination of content initiatives, aligning stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables across functional teams
  • Translate business priorities into clear, effective content experiences (e.g., landing pages, site updates) that support discovery, planning, and engagement
  • Oversee content execution in partnership with the Website Manager, Bilingual Content, ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Incorporate SEO best practices and use search insights to optimize content planning and performance
  • Analyze content performance and user behavior to refine strategy and identify gaps and opportunities
  • Collaborate with design and digital teams to align content with the overall user experience
  • Support major launches and key initiatives through structured content planning and execution
  • Contribute to scalable content workflows and governance across the organization
Background & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Multimedia, Journalism or similar program preferred or a combination of equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5,+ years of experience in digital content strategy, web content management, or editorial roles
  • Proven experience developing and managing content strategies and editorial calendars
  • Strong understanding of SEO, content optimization, and search-driven user behavior
  • Experience working within CMS platforms (enterprise CMS experience preferred)
  • Experience collaborating across marketing, product, and analytics teams
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
  • The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
  • Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000.00 - $115,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
