We are seeking a senior, business-oriented Vice President, Product Manager to lead multi-year product strategy and execution for Credit Technology platforms that support investment research, analytics, and trading workflows. This leader will partner closely with credit analysts, portfolio managers, traders, credit analytics teams, engineers, data teams, and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions that improve workflow efficiency, enhance data accessibility, and strengthen decision-making across the credit lifecycle. The role also provides senior leadership across governance, roadmap prioritization, resourcing, operating model maturity, and post-release accountability to ensure product outcomes are adopted, measured, and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Credit Technology platforms supporting research, analytics, trading, and portfolio management workflows.

  • Serve as a senior product partner to credit analysts, portfolio managers, traders, credit analytics teams, engineering leads, and technology leadership.

  • Translate complex credit business needs into clear product priorities, requirements, business cases, and delivery plans for engineering and data teams.

  • Lead roadmap prioritization across competing stakeholder needs, balancing business value, regulatory and operational risk, technical feasibility, scalability, and time-to-market.

  • Lead cross-functional governance and decision forums to align stakeholders on priorities, scope, dependencies, risks, tradeoffs, and measurable outcomes.

  • Drive delivery of tools, dashboards, data products, workflow applications, analytics capabilities, and AI-enabled solutions that improve credit decision-making and operating efficiency.

  • Establish product success measures, adoption metrics, data quality indicators, and performance dashboards to evaluate impact and guide investment decisions.

  • Oversee testing, validation, rollout, change management, and user adoption for complex business logic and mission-critical credit applications.

  • Partner with engineering leadership on platform architecture, system design trade-offs, API strategy, data integration, and long-term modernization opportunities.

  • Partner with engineering leadership on capacity planning, sequencing, dependency management, and resourcing decisions across the Credit Technology portfolio.

  • Own post-release accountability by monitoring adoption, operational health, product stability, user feedback, and continuous improvement opportunities after rollout.

  • Communicate product strategy, delivery progress, risks, and recommendations to senior business and technology stakeholders in an executive-ready format.

  • Coach and mentor junior product managers, analysts, and cross-functional contributors while scaling consistent product practices, governance, prioritization discipline, and operating model maturity within Credit Technology.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of product management, technology strategy, business analysis, or related experience within financial services, asset management, capital markets, or enterprise technology.

  • Demonstrated experience leading product strategy and roadmap execution for complex platforms, data products, workflow tools, analytics applications, or trading and investment technology solutions.

  • Strong understanding of fixed income, credit markets, investment research, portfolio management, trading workflows, or related asset management processes.

  • Proven ability to partner with senior investment professionals, business stakeholders, engineers, data teams, and technology leaders to define and deliver high-impact solutions.

  • Experience gathering and refining complex requirements, structuring business cases, prioritizing roadmaps, and translating ambiguous needs into actionable product deliverables.

  • Strong analytical and technical fluency, including familiarity with data models, relational databases, APIs, dashboards, reporting tools, and modern software delivery practices.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, executive presentation, and influence skills in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Business, or a related technical or quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD, MBA, CFA, or advanced degree in a quantitative, technical, or finance-related field preferred.

  • Experience with credit investment platforms, trading systems, portfolio analytics, research management tools, risk analytics, or investment data platforms.

  • Hands-on familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar data analysis and visualization tools.

  • Experience delivering AI-enabled, data science, or automation capabilities for investment, research, trading, or operational workflows.

  • Experience operating in a highly regulated financial services environment with strong attention to controls, resiliency, auditability, and data quality.

  • Track record of mentoring product talent and improving product operating models, governance, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement practices.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will bring strategic direction and execution discipline to Credit Technology, strengthen alignment between investment teams and engineering, improve the quality and usability of credit data and analytics, and deliver platforms that enhance research, trading, portfolio management, and decision-making across the credit lifecycle.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.


Salary Range: $ 150,000.00 - $ 225,000.00
