The Vice President of Product Management, Product Stewardship is responsible for defining and executing the global product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Sphera’s Product Stewardship portfolio. This leader will drive innovation, market leadership, and revenue growth across a comprehensive suite of regulatory compliance, chemical management, hazard communication, and product sustainability solutions.

This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, deep domain expertise, commercial acumen, and operational excellence. The VP will lead a global team of product managers and work cross-functionally with Engineering, Regulatory Content, Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, and Executive Leadership to deliver differentiated, high-impact solutions to complex global enterprises.

The ideal candidate brings experience scaling enterprise SaaS platforms, navigating global regulatory complexity (e.g., REACH, TSCA, RoHS, SCIP, GHS, Prop 65), and driving disciplined product management practices in a high-growth environment.

What You’ll DoDefine Vision & Strategy
  • Establish and articulate the multi-year product vision and strategy for Sphera’s Product Stewardship portfolio

  • Align product strategy with corporate objectives, revenue targets, and market expansion plans

  • Identify growth opportunities across industries, geographies, and regulatory domains

  • Drive product positioning that differentiates Sphera as the global leader in product compliance and chemical management

Own the Product Lifecycle
  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management from concept through launch, growth, and optimization

  • Build and maintain a clear, value-driven roadmap aligned to customer needs and market demand

  • Prioritize investments across platform capabilities, regulatory content, integrations, AI/automation, and user experience

  • Ensure scalability, security, and global readiness of the portfolio

Drive Commercial Impact
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to define pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies

  • Support enterprise deal strategy and executive customer engagements

  • Monitor product performance against revenue, adoption, retention, and margin targets

  • Translate regulatory complexity into clear business value and ROI narratives

Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team
  • Build, mentor, and scale a global team of product management leaders

  • Implement best-in-class product management frameworks, governance, and operating rhythms

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and data-driven decision-making

  • Develop succession plans and leadership bench strength

Be the Market & Customer Voice
  • Engage directly with strategic customers and industry leaders to shape product direction

  • Monitor regulatory trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies

  • Anticipate changes in global chemical regulations and sustainability requirements

  • Represent Sphera externally at industry forums and customer events

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with Engineering to deliver high-quality releases on schedule

  • Align with Regulatory Content teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of compliance data

  • Collaborate with Customer Care to drive adoption, satisfaction, and retention

  • Work with Finance and Executive Leadership on portfolio investment planning and performance reporting

What You’ll Bring
  • 12+ years of product management experience in enterprise SaaS or software

  • 5+ years leading and scaling global product management teams

  • Strong experience in Product Stewardship, Chemical Management, Regulatory Compliance, EHS, ESG, PLM, or adjacent domains

  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and market expansion through product innovation

  • Deep understanding of global regulatory frameworks (e.g., REACH, TSCA, RoHS, SCIP, GHS)

  • Experience managing complex, multi-product portfolios serving global enterprise customers

  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L responsibility and portfolio investment prioritization

  • Executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders internally and externally

  • Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging metrics to inform roadmap and investment decisions

  • Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments preferred

Pay:

$224,000.00 - $336,000.00 + Eligible for Variable Compensation Plan
