This leader will transform a growing and complex data environment into a cohesive, governed, enterprise‑grade analytics capability. While data engineering and integration are foundational responsibilities, success in this role is measured by the quality, scalability, and business impact of analytics and insights delivered to clients and partners. The VP will be a visible, trusted partner, and a disciplined leader who can mature the analytics function into a high‑performing, agile organization.

  • Develop and execute Point C's strategy for employer and broker reporting, making this capability among the strongest and most differentiated in the industry.
  • Ensure analytics outputs meet the real‑world needs of brokers, employers, and internal business partners, with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and actionability.
  • Partner with Sales to create prospect, broker, and pipeline analytics that optimize growth and improve sales effectiveness.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to define and mature operational KPIs that clearly articulate performance, cost drivers, service levels, and client health and margins.
  • Partner with Finance to design and deliver revenue retention, margin, and other financial analytics that support forecasting and executive decision‑making.
  • Partner with Case Management and Utilization Management teams to create clinical analytics for both internal insight and external stakeholder use.
  • Partner with Business Development to analyze potential acquisitions, support data‑driven diligence, and lead post‑acquisition data integration.
  • Ensure acquired entities' data is standardized and incorporated into enterprise data lakes and analytics platforms.
  • Oversee the design, maintenance, and evolution of enterprise data lakes and analytics platforms that support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics.
  • Lead efforts to merge, standardize, and harmonize data across disparate systems, balancing speed with long‑term scalability.
  • Establish and enforce data governance, data quality, and data cleanliness standards, including ownership, definitions, validation, and remediation processes for imperfect source data.
  • Ensure analytics are built on trusted, well‑governed data with transparent definitions and lineage.
  • Build, lead, and mature a high‑performing enterprise analytics organization.
  • Evolve the team from a loosely managed development approach into a disciplined, scalable agile delivery model aligned with SAFe‑like principles.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare, with strong preference for payer environments (fully insured and/or self‑funded).
  • 7+ years in an IT leadership role with a track record of driving digital transformation, managing cross-functional teams, and aligning technical initiatives with business goals.
  • Proven track record of scaling enterprise analytics capabilities in complex, multi‑system environments.

  • Experience working in and leading teams within an agile delivery environment.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
