The Opportunity

Varonis is one of the most respected names in data and AI security, trusted by thousands of organizations worldwide to safely connect agents to their data.

We are hiring a VP of Growth Marketing to own the engine that turns Varonis's category leadership into pipeline, revenue, and market share. Reporting to the CMO, this leader oversees demand generation, content, social, and marketing operations.

This role is for someone who challenges traditional B2B marketing ideology and has an online footprint that proves it. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and a bias towards action.

What You'll Do

Own worldwide pipeline generation across all online channels, with clear pipeline and revenue targets.

Build distribution strategies beyond just hitting publish, for product launches, acquisitions, and other big marketable moments.

Oversee our SEO/AEO strategies that bring in high-intent organic traffic and ensure that Varonis is accurately represented in Google's AI mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and whatever comes next.

Spot cultural moments, trends, and memes that our brand can authentically be part of. Move fast to capitalize on them.

Reverse engineer successful strategies from companies like Ramp, Rippling, Wiz, and Clay and adapt them to Varonis.

Design and run creative experiments that make people talk about and remember Varonis.

Work with the brand and creative team to create "stunts" and attention-grabbing moments that put us in the conversation.

Run marketing ops with clean data, tight lead handoffs, and attribution the executive team trusts.

Write compelling copy for every touchpoint: ads, emails, landing pages, in-product messaging.

Partner with creators, influencers, or publications to amplify reach.

Launch and optimize paid campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, Reddit, etc. and hit CAC/ROAS goals.

Run creative that stops the scroll.

Build and coach the team that will run this engine. Hire people who make things.

Who You Are

You have built something from zero. A newsletter, a social following, a community, a side project, a meetup. Anything. You know what it feels like to go from 0 to 10 and from 10 to 10,000. This is the single most important signal we look for.

You are deeply online. You understand how the internet works. You know what's trending before it peaks. You've probably bought a domain name for a project that never launched (and you're a little embarrassed about it). You understand platforms, algorithms, and internet culture intuitively.

You do everything with AI. You're not just writing emails faster. You're using AI to redefine how work gets done. You can show us the agents that work for you and the tasks your team no longer touches.

What You'll Bring

6+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 3 leading demand generation, growth, or performance marketing teams at scale.

A track record at high-growth enterprise B2B SaaS companies, ideally in security, infrastructure, or a technical buyer category.

Direct experience owning a marketing budget and pipeline/revenue targets.

Cybersecurity or data security domain experience is a plus but not required. Curiosity and speed of learning matter more.

Why Varonis

Varonis is a Nasdaq-listed data security leader (VRNS) trusted by thousands of the world's most innovative companies.

Direct visibility to the CMO, the CEO, and the executive team. You will not be pitching ideas through three layers of management.

Serious investment behind AI with a unique product story in a blazing hot cybersecurity market.

A world-class team that wants to move faster and is looking for a leader who will make that happen.

This role can be based remotely or out of a Varonis office in New York City.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
