Primary Purpose: The Global Vice President Asset Protection, Security & Safety is the senior global leader responsible for setting enterprise strategy and providing executive oversight for Asset Protection, Corporate Security, Global Security Operations, Health & Safety, Crisis and Incident Management, Executive Protection, Event Security, and Business Continuity across Tapestry and its brands. Reporting to the General Counsel and Secretary, this role protects Tapestry’s people, assets, operations, and brand reputation by establishing a globally integrated, intelligence-led risk framework; maintaining enterprise preparedness; and leading coordinated response and recovery from significant events.

- Lead, develop, and continuously evolve a high-performing global organization spanning Asset Protection, Corporate Security, Global Security Operations, Safety, and related enterprise risk disciplines, with clear governance, accountability, succession planning, and operating standards.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the General Counsel, executive leadership, and other senior stakeholders on global security, safety, crisis, continuity, and emerging-risk matters.
- Establish the enterprise security and safety strategy, governance model, operating standards, investment priorities, and performance measures required to protect Tapestry’s people, assets, operations, and reputation across brands and geographies.
- Oversee budgets, capital investments, security technology, analytics, third-party providers, and resource allocation across the global function, ensuring resources are aligned to enterprise risk and business priorities.
- Maintain strategic relationships with law enforcement, intelligence, emergency-management, landlord/property-management, and private-sector security partners globally to strengthen preparedness, information sharing, and response capability.
Asset Protection
- Set and govern the global Asset Protection strategy across stores, corporate locations, fulfillment/distribution operations, and other company facilities, integrating loss prevention, investigations, physical security, operational risk, and employee safety.
- Establish risk-based auditing, inspection, investigative, and exception-reporting frameworks to identify vulnerabilities, emerging loss trends, control failures, and opportunities for corrective action.
- Provide executive oversight for complex and sensitive investigations involving internal and external theft, fraud, misconduct, organized retail crime, threats, policy violations, and other matters affecting Tapestry’s people, assets, operations, or reputation.
- Direct the global physical-security strategy, including governance and standards for video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, alarms, visitor management, and other protective technologies and controls.
- Partner with Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Internal Audit, Technology, Store Operations, Supply Chain, and brand leadership to strengthen controls, address root causes, and embed risk mitigation into business operations.
Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), Intelligence & Emergency Communications
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for Tapestry’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), ensuring it operates as the enterprise hub for global threat awareness, protective intelligence, incident intake, escalation, emergency communications, and coordinated security response.
- Continuously evolve the GSOC operating model, staffing, technology, workflows, intelligence capabilities, service levels, and global coverage to meet the changing risk profile and needs of the business.
- Establish enterprise protocols for 24/7 threat monitoring, incident triage, verification, escalation, notification, executive briefing, and cross-functional coordination for events that may affect employees, executives, facilities, stores, fulfillment centers, travel, events, or business operations.
- Direct the collection, assessment, and dissemination of actionable intelligence related to geopolitical developments, civil unrest, crime, severe weather, terrorism, workplace threats, travel risk, online threats, and other emerging issues with potential impact to Tapestry.
- Own the enterprise emergency-communications framework, including mass-notification governance, audience segmentation, message approval, escalation criteria, testing, and protocols for rapidly communicating with employees and leaders during critical events.
- Develop executive-level reporting and exception-based intelligence products that translate global threat information and incident trends into clear business risk, recommended actions, and leadership decisions.
Corporate Security, Executive Protection & Event Security
- Set the global corporate-security strategy and provide executive oversight for security operations at Tapestry corporate headquarters and other designated corporate locations, including access control, visitor management, security officer operations, surveillance, emergency procedures, and facility protection.
- Establish and govern risk-based executive-protection protocols for the Chief Executive Officer and other senior executives, including protective intelligence, travel risk, transportation security, advance planning, residential considerations when appropriate, and scalable protection based on threat and exposure.
- Direct the enterprise event-security program for Board and leadership meetings, fashion shows, product launches, employee gatherings, high-profile brand events, and other significant activities, integrating threat assessment, venue security, access control, emergency planning, and executive protection.
- Lead enterprise workplace-violence prevention and threat-management strategy, including behavioral threat assessment, case governance, escalation protocols, multidisciplinary response, and coordination with law enforcement when appropriate.
- Establish a proactive online-threat awareness capability to identify, assess, escalate, and coordinate response to digital or social-media activity that may present a credible physical-security risk to executives, employees, facilities, events, or Tapestry brands.
Crisis Management, Incident Response & Global Business Continuity
- Serve as the executive leader for global security incident response, establishing an enterprise incident-management framework that enables rapid assessment, command, escalation, cross-functional coordination, executive communication, and recovery during significant events.
- Own and continuously mature Tapestry’s global Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, establishing enterprise governance, methodology, standards, accountability, and reporting across brands, regions, and critical business functions.
- Lead the identification of critical business processes and dependencies through business impact analyses and risk assessments, ensuring appropriate continuity, recovery, and resilience strategies are developed, maintained, and aligned to enterprise priorities.
- Establish requirements for business continuity plans, crisis playbooks, escalation protocols, recovery strategies, and cross-functional response structures, with clear ownership across business functions and geographies.
- Direct enterprise exercises, tabletop simulations, and testing of continuity and crisis-response plans; identify gaps, track remediation, and provide executive leadership with visibility into organizational readiness and residual risk.
- Integrate the GSOC, emergency communications, crisis management, and business continuity programs so that threat detection, employee notification, incident command, business response, and recovery operate as a coordinated global capability.
- Partner with Technology, Supply Chain, Operations, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Facilities, and brand leadership to strengthen organizational resilience and support timely recovery from disruptions affecting people, facilities, systems, suppliers, or operations.
Health, Safety & Food and Beverage Safety
- Set the enterprise Health & Safety strategy and governance framework across corporate offices, stores, and fulfillment/distribution centers, ensuring risks are identified, compliance obligations are understood, and corrective actions are effectively implemented.
- Provide strategic oversight of occupational safety within fulfillment/distribution operations, including risk assessment, incident trends, regulatory compliance, corrective-action governance, and leadership reporting.
- Establish and oversee food, beverage, health, and sanitation safety standards for Coach coffee shops and other applicable food-and-beverage operations, partnering with business operators and subject-matter experts to support compliance with applicable requirements and consistent operating practices.
- Oversee workplace safety education, emergency preparedness, drills, and awareness programs, and use incident data and leading indicators to identify systemic risks and improve prevention.
Analytics, Governance & Executive Reporting
- Establish a data-driven performance and governance framework across Asset Protection, Security, Safety, GSOC, and Business Continuity, using KPIs, KRIs, incident trends, intelligence, and exception-based reporting to measure effectiveness and prioritize risk reduction.
- Provide regular executive and Board-level reporting on material security, safety, continuity, and asset-protection risks, significant incidents, emerging threats, program performance, and mitigation priorities.
- Maintain enterprise policies, standards, protocols, and operating procedures for the function, ensuring appropriate global consistency while accounting for regional legal, regulatory, cultural, and operating requirements.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, risk management, business, safety, or a related field preferred; advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: 15+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience across asset protection, corporate security, safety, crisis management, investigations, and enterprise risk, including significant leadership of global programs and geographically dispersed teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading or providing executive oversight of a sophisticated Global Security Operations Center, including threat intelligence, emergency communications, incident management, security technology, and 24/7 operating protocols.
- Demonstrated experience designing, governing, and testing enterprise Business Continuity Management and crisis-management programs across multiple functions, locations, and geographies.
- Deep knowledge of physical security, executive protection, event security, workplace violence prevention, investigations, occupational safety, emergency management, and relevant security technologies.
- Strong understanding of geopolitical risk, protective intelligence, online threat assessment, global travel/security risk, and the legal and regulatory considerations associated with multinational security operations.
- Proven ability to operate at executive level, influence senior stakeholders, lead through complex and high-pressure incidents, and translate technical risk information into clear business decisions.
- Exceptional organizational leadership, including the ability to build high-performing teams, develop senior talent, establish accountability, and lead effectively across diverse cultures and geographies.

- Advanced degree and/or relevant professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, CBCP/MBCP, CISSP, or comparable security, safety, resilience, or risk credentials.
- Significant experience supporting executive and event protection programs for high-profile leaders and global brands.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale security, crisis, safety, and continuity programs within a complex multinational organization, preferably with retail, corporate, and fulfillment/distribution operations.
