• Oversee accounting for healthcare practice operations, including gross-to-net patient service revenue, accounts receivable and contractual reserves, cash-to-accrual adjustments, operating expenses, payroll and provider compensation accruals, and related balance sheet accounts.

• Oversee corporate accounting for fixed assets, leases under ASC 842, debt, equity, intercompany transactions, contingencies, accruals, and other complex balance sheet and income statement areas.

• Oversee corporate Accounts Payable and ensure optimized use of Coupa P2P platform for AP automation and adherence to internal controls.

• Lead accounting for acquisitions and integrations, including purchase accounting under ASC 805, opening balance sheets, working capital and balance sheet true-ups, and integration of acquired entities into the Company’s accounting policies, close processes, and financial systems.

• Own the Company’s multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting framework, including eliminations, reconciliations, and appropriate accounting for management company and physician practice relationships.

• Serve as the primary accounting owner of NetSuite, ensuring the ERP is appropriately configured and governed to support multi-entity reporting, consolidations, dimensions, workflows, integrations, and scalable accounting processes.

• Establish, document, and maintain a strong internal control environment, including accounting policies, approval controls, balance sheet reconciliation standards, segregation of duties, and financial reporting controls appropriate for a growing privately held company.

• Lead the annual external financial statement audit and coordinate audit planning, technical accounting support, schedules, documentation, and resolution of audit matters.

• Research and document complex accounting matters and new accounting standards; prepare or review technical accounting memoranda and ensure consistent application of U.S. GAAP.

• Partner with FP&A and executive leadership to ensure accurate actual results, explain significant balance sheet and P&L movements, and support management and Board reporting.

• Partner with Treasury, Revenue Cycle, Payroll, Human Resources, Legal, Operations, and other functions to improve end-to-end financial processes and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

• Develop accounting talent, succession plans, standardized procedures, and a scalable organizational structure capable of supporting continued organic growth and acquisitions.

• Perform other accounting, financial reporting, systems, and strategic finance responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
