Who are we hiring?

The VP of Brand Strategy will lead our efforts to continuously build the Sphere brand across a wide variety of events and experiences, cultural moments, and brand partnerships. This role plays a key cross-functional role, working closely with Marketing, Creative, Studio, Sales, Sponsorships, and other teams.

The VP of Brand Strategy will be based in our Burbank, CA office and report directly to the SVP of Marketing & Communications for Sphere Entertainment.

What will you do?

  • Lead a growing team of Brand Strategists, defining clear roles and responsibilities for individual team members.
  • Oversee the briefing and development of 360 creative for all Sphere Experiences, in partnership with Marketing and Creative teams.
  • Own launch and sustain campaigns for Sphere Experiences, in partnership with Marketing and Creative teams, to drive demand and ticket sales.
  • Ownership of content strategy across key Sphere brand assets including Exosphere Art and in-venue signage & screens, ensuring alignment across assets and with Sphere objectives.
  • Manage and continuously evolve the Sphere brand by enhancing our positioning, visual identity, brand guidelines, and core content assets – balancing consistency with the flexibility needed to engage different audiences.
  • Work closely with Sales and Strategic Alliances to integrate brands and other partners with our brand programs, breaking down traditional B2C/B2B barriers.
  • Own the year-round calendar of Sphere cultural moments, planning tiered activations, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure timely, on-brand execution.
  • Plan for long-term growth opportunities in the U.S. and internationally as a steward, innovator, and protector of the Sphere brand.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Passion to shape the future of entertainment globally and a curiosity for how technology will enable new experiences that wow audiences.
  • 15+ years of experience leading brand marketing initiatives, including 5+ leading in-house brand teams.
  • Entertainment and Tech brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise leading the briefing and development of a wide variety of creative outputs, from brand design, to integrated campaigns, to social content and IRL experiences.
  • Expert communicator with leadership presence and a proven ability to positively influence stakeholders across a large organization.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with flexibility to pivot plans as business needs change and opportunities arise.
  • Highly collaborative with infectious enthusiasm and openness to new ideas/solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and manage workload.
  • Accountable and detail-oriented, from planning to execution and analysis of results.

Pay Range
$240,000$290,000 USD
