About CodeRabbit

CodeRabbit is an innovative research and development company focused on building extraordinarily productive human-machine collaboration systems. Our primary goal is to create the next generation of Gen AI-driven code reviewers: a symbiotic partnership between humans and advanced algorithms that significantly outperforms individual engineers. We combine language models with human ingenuity to push the boundaries of software development efficiency and quality.

Overview

At CodeRabbit, design helps power the success of developers and engineering teams around the world. Design is involved at every step — from gathering insights and brainstorming to launching polished, precise work that earns credibility with a technical audience. We're building the future of AI-powered code review, and great design is how we stand out in that mission.

You'll work to develop marketing experiences across our owned channels that position CodeRabbit as best-in-class, educate potential customers, and drive awareness and adoption at scale. This includes core creative support across marketing. We're looking for someone who is passionate about design, a collaborative team player, a creative problem solver, and a constant advocate for the developer audience we serve.

Developers are at the heart of everything we design. We're inspired by the builders, the engineers, the people who ship things — and our brand has to earn its place in their world. If you're ready to create bold, precise, and purposeful work that resonates with a deeply discerning audience, let's talk.

Responsibilities
  • Gain deep product knowledge across CodeRabbit's suite of offerings to inform accurate and compelling creative work

  • Design meaningful, purpose-driven marketing experiences with an emphasis on web, events, and campaigns that guide developers toward CodeRabbit

  • Develop booth experiences, signage, and event collateral that cut through the noise on a conference floor and authentically represent the brand

  • Activate strong creative storytelling that communicates product value clearly and compellingly across digital and physical channels

  • Collaborate effectively with marketers, content strategists, and product teams to drive results while maintaining a high bar for craft

  • Have a systems mindset — leveraging, upholding, and evolving a robust design system across multiple marketing channels

  • Participate in audience research and qualitative feedback to ensure creative work is grounded in what resonates with developers

  • Advance a strong point of view backed by design rationale, audience insight, and industry trends

  • Conceptualize a broad range of ideas and narrow based on experimentation and real-world results

  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong communication around timelines and expectations

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing or brand design with an online portfolio demonstrating strong craft and proven business impact

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a design-related field

  • A deeply ingrained sense of what makes design work for technical audiences — precise, credible, and never overdesigned

  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience designing for events, physical environments, and print production

  • Strong business acumen and comfort partnering directly with marketers and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Understanding of generative AI tools and modern design workflows

  • Curiosity and commitment to new ideas, with a drive to innovate and push the work forward

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design rationale clearly and concisely

  • A portfolio demonstrating design craft, range, and a collaborative creative process

  • Bonus: prior experience at a developer tools company or firsthand familiarity with the developer ecosystem

  1. Collaborative Humans: Prioritizing collective intelligence

  2. Fearless Innovators: Turning obstacles into growth opportunities

  3. Persistent Passionate Developers: Thriving on complex, long-term challenges

  4. Impact-Driven Creators: Crafting intuitive tools for developers

  5. Rapid Learners and Un-learners: Adapting quickly in our fast-paced technological world

What We Offer
  1. Work on cutting-edge technology with real-world impact

  2. Collaborative and innovative environment

  3. Competitive salary, equity, and benefits

  4. Professional development opportunities

Base pay range for this role is $160-190k. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
