The role.

Huge is looking for a Visual Design Lead to lead the visual design direction across complex digital products and experiences. In this role, you will guide the design vision from concept through execution, ensuring high standards of visual quality, consistency, and scalability across web, mobile, and responsive platforms.

You will partner closely with Product, UX, Engineering, and Creative teams to translate broader product goals into thoughtful visual solutions. As a design leader, you will also lead and mentor design teams, provide direction and feedback, influence stakeholders, and help establish strong design practices across projects.

What you’ll be doing.
  • Lead the visual design direction across digital products, platforms, and experiences.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide creative direction to visual designers throughout the design process.
  • Build, evolve, and maintain scalable design systems and reusable UI components.
  • Translate product and platform goals into cohesive, high-quality visual experiences.
  • Work closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to develop solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical considerations.
  • Apply strong systems thinking across detailed UI execution and broader product ecosystems.
  • Ensure consistency, accessibility, usability, and quality throughout the experience.
  • Lead projects from concept through execution while maintaining a strong visual vision and design quality.
  • Communicate design decisions, articulate trade-offs, and provide clear rationale to clients and stakeholders.
  • Establish design direction, review work, and provide constructive feedback to ensure consistency across deliverables.
  • Collaborate effectively in Agile, fast-paced, and remote environments.
  • Participate in a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous creative improvement.
What we’d like to see.
  • 5–8+ years of experience designing digital products across web, mobile, and responsive platforms.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring visual design teams, providing creative direction and establishing design standards.
  • Strong expertise in building, evolving, and maintaining scalable Design Systems and reusable UI components.
  • Experience working on complex product ecosystems in close collaboration with Product, UX, and Engineering teams.
  • Strong systems thinking, balancing detailed UI execution with broader product and platform goals.
  • Solid understanding of interaction design, accessibility, usability, and user-centered design principles.
  • Ability to clearly communicate design decisions, articulate trade-offs, and demonstrate ownership throughout the design process.
  • Experience taking projects from concept through execution while maintaining high visual quality and consistency.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in Agile, fast-paced, and remote environments.

The salary range for this position is as listed below. Exactly where a prospective employee will be paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, the actual salary ranges for current and former employees who are either currently filling a similar role or did in the past; the candidate’s depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations; the market demand for that role and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based. For current Huge employees, tenure will also be a consideration.
