We are seeking a dedicated and proficient Virtual Legal Assistant to join our team at MyVA Support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enhance their legal experience in a dynamic and flexible environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide crucial administrative support to lawyers, enhancing office productivity.
  • Manage communication with clients, witnesses, and other relevant parties.
  • Support and attend trials when needed.
  • Prepare case briefs, summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimonies.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and perform statistical/documentary research.
  • Identify and extract case-relevant information.
  • Draft and file fundamental legal documents and correspondence.
  • Efficiently manage phone calls and redirect as necessary.
  • Maintain and update contact lists.
  • Monitor essential deadlines and manage multiple calendars.
Please note: This role operates under a service provision contract. Therefore, individuals will be responsible for payments towards social security and any other mandatory contributions to the Colombian State.


Requirements
  • Minimum English proficiency of C1 level.
  • Degree in Law or completion of coursework in Law.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the litigation field.
  • Experience in Commercial Law
  • Familiarity with law, legal procedures, protocols, and the court system.
  • Satisfactory knowledge of the daily operations of a legal office.
  • Proficient in computer systems and case management software.
  • Exceptional organizational and secretarial skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent writing skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Proactive, initiative-driven, and a great team player.
