Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team as a Video Editor. This role will be part of our Advertisement Team and will work closely with our Integrated Marketing, Creative, and Merchandising  teams. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of creative flair, technical expertise, and strong communication skills. You will collaborate with various teams to create high-quality video content that aligns with our brand identity and marketing goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to our organization’s success by producing top-notch content optimized for performance across a variety of paid channels.

You have a passion for visual media and a strong understanding of how to craft narratives for specific platforms and their audiences. You are a natural storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work under tight deadlines, and adeptly balance multiple projects and priorities.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates much be local to or willing to relocate to the Calabasas area as we operate on a hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 remote).

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities

  • Create compelling narratives from existing and new raw footage that align with marketing strategies, product launches, and key campaigns.
  • Transform campaign strategies into video deliverables that meet business goals.
  • Edit and refine content to meet quality standards, ensuring it is visually appealing and optimized for various platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Social and Performance Marketing teams to ensure videos align with storyboards, maintain visual consistency, and adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Handle audio assembly, selecting suitable music and sound effects to enhance the story’s impact.
  • Apply motion effects and color grading to enhance video quality.
  • Stay current on social media trends and be open to experimenting with new creative ideas.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Proactively gather information on project requirements to ensure clarity on timelines, deliverables, and assets.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.

What You Should Have
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, graphic design or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a video editor, in video production, as a content creator, or in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media best practices and content formats for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, styles, and technologies in digital marketing and content creation.
  • Experience with eCommerce brands is a plus.
  • Skills in motion graphics and animation are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Strong presentation skills for internal creative presentations.
  • An ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines with high-quality work.
  • Ability to receive feedback and make adjustments to in-progress projects.
  • Strategic thinking and creative storytelling instincts.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Must be a self-motivator, possessing the ability to work effectively with little supervision.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing marketing ads or video production examples.
  • An understanding of videography, photography and using a DSLR camera.

Programs and Tools

  • Premiere Pro: Advanced (or other video editing software).
  • Photoshop: Advanced
  • Illustrator: Intermediate
  • After Effects: Intermediate
  • Mocha: a plus
  • AI tools: a plus (familiarity with image & video generation)

What You Can Expect

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Position requires regular, continuous use of computer.
  • Position requires regular sitting and standing.
  • Position requires regular interaction with team members through the following methods: in-person, phone, Zoom, Slack, or email.
  • May require occasional travel.
  • This is a hybrid position; employees are expected to be in the office three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with the option of working remotely two days (Wednesday and Friday).

Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is $25.00 - $31.00 an hour.
