About Us
Gumloop is the piece of AI infrastructure companies roll out to let everyone build agents securely. Let people who understand the problem build and share agents, manage their access to data, choose your AI models and host it all in your own cloud.

We're a very small team building as fast as humanly possible. Gusto, Ramp, Shopify, Samsara, Instacart, and Opendoor are running agents on Gumloop across their company. We've raised over $70M from Benchmark, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, Nexus Ventures to scale operations and are looking for people who care as much as we do to join the team.

Role Overview

Gumloop is looking for a Video Editor with exceptional storytelling instincts and editorial taste to own the editing process across our highest impact video work. You will turn raw footage, product moments, and ideas into polished stories that make people care - from cinematic commercials and product launches to founder interviews, recruiting videos, and social content.

You will partner closely with creative, marketing, product, and company leaders while maintaining a high bar for pacing, emotion, sound, color, and visual detail. This is a high-ownership role for an editor who moves quickly, makes strong creative calls, and can elevate every frame without losing sight of the audience or the business goal.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end editing for commercials, product launches, interviews, recruiting videos, social content, and other brand moments.

• Shape compelling narratives from raw footage, product demos, screen recordings, interviews, and existing assets.

• Build strong pacing, music, sound design, color, motion, and visual rhythm into every final cut.

• Create and integrate motion design elements, including animated text, transitions, lower thirds, UI highlights, and simple explainers.

• Partner with creative and cross-functional stakeholders to translate briefs and feedback into clear, high-quality work.

• Maintain organized project files and efficient editing workflows while delivering under fast-moving timelines.

• Raise Gumloop's creative bar by bringing a sharp point of view, strong references, and thoughtful craft to each project.

What you bring

• Professional video editing experience and a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional narrative judgment and execution.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve, with strong command of color grading, audio, and finishing.

• Strong motion design skills and the ability to create polished motion-forward editorial work.

• Excellent instincts for pacing, timing, music, sound design, emotion, and visual storytelling across formats.

• A high standard for detail and the ability to deliver quickly without compromising quality.

• Experience editing content for technology, SaaS, AI, or other technical products, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and compelling way.

• Clear communication, sound creative judgment, and comfort incorporating feedback while owning the final edit.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities and high visibility work.

Bonus

• Experience filming or directing shoots.

• Familiarity with Figma and collaborating with design systems or product teams.

• Experience creating content for product-led SaaS, AI, developer, or other technical products.

• Experience creating platform-native social cutdowns and performance-oriented edits.

Benefits
  • Highly competitive salary and meaningful equity

  • Generous paid time off: 24 days for SF employees, use them as you need

  • $350/month wellness benefit to spend on gym, spa, equipment, or whatever keeps you at your best

  • 15 days of temporary remote work flexibility per year

  • 401k match up to 6%

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
