Job Duties: Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of users. This involves activities such as including heuristic evaluations, observational studies, user interviews, surveys, and usability testing. Analyze the data collected to inform design decisions and create user personas and journey maps. Develop design strategies that align with business objectives. Transform creative vision, business opportunities, user research and data into intuitive experiences that are simple to use. Create design roadmaps, set design goals, and plan design process. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that design initiatives are prioritized and aligned with business needs. Lead design of user interfaces using participatory and iterative design. Create diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to visualize user interface and interactions. Focus on creating intuitive and aesthetically pleasing designs that enhance user experience. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to ensure that design solutions are feasible and aligned with technical constraints. Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, gathering feedback and iterating on designs as needed. Create and updating design guidelines, components, and patterns. Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and support to help them grow in their roles. Lead design reviews and workshops, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture within the team.

Qualifications: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in any field, and 48 months in job offered, or related occupation. ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in any field, and 72 months in job offered, or related occupation. Must have four years of experience in the following: Developing UX artifacts including wireframes, prototypes, site maps, and user journeys; Agile and Lean product development models; B2B Offerings; Designing enterprise desktop software; Interactive design; Detailing work with functional specs, annotations, and user stories; Communication and storytelling through presentation; and Collaborating with development teams on design implementation and quality assurance standards.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$198,000.00 - USD$215,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
