About the RoleWe are seeking a strategic, AI, data-savvy, and execution-driven leader to serve as our Vice President, Strategic Finance. This is a high-impact leadership role for a high-agency operator who thrives in ambiguity and brings analytical rigor to complex financial challenges and enjoys scaling a high-growth company. You will act as a primary architect of our financial strategy, ensuring our long-term growth is supported by robust planning and actionable insights.
In this role, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and lead a dedicated team. You will collaborate closely with Accounting, Capital Markets, Go-To-Market (Sales & Marketing), Product, and Human Resources to drive company-wide alignment and performance. This position is based in our San Francisco headquarters with in-office days on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
ResponsibilitiesLead company-wide financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including the annual budgeting process, long-range planning, liquidity forecasting, and ongoing business performance reviews.
Design and manage the internal operating cadence for financial reporting, providing the executive team and board with data-driven visibility into business health and risk.
Partner with Go-To-Market and Product leaders to develop sophisticated pricing models, unit economic analyses, and impact sizing for new strategic initiatives.
Serve as a strategic project leader for high-priority corporate initiatives, including capital raises, ensuring cross-functional accountability and rigorous financial execution.
Build and scale the Strategic Finance function, managing and mentoring a high-performing team and implementing scalable financial systems and dashboards.
Champion the adoption of AI tools and automation across the Strategic Finance function, identifying opportunities to streamline reporting, forecasting, and analysis workflows and building a culture of continuous innovation within the team.
10+ years of experience in a blend of strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or corporate strategy—ideally within high-growth fintech, tech, or healthcare environments.
Proven track record of managing complex financial performance, KPI ownership, and facilitating decision frameworks for executive leadership.
Exceptional analytical capabilities with the ability to translate large datasets into compelling strategic narratives and business cases.
Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy, build trust, and drive clarity across executive, technical, and operational teams in high-ambiguity environments.
Strong organizational skills with a focus on doing things the right way and maintaining a high personal standard of excellence.
