About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, AI, data-savvy, and execution-driven leader to serve as our Vice President, Strategic Finance. This is a high-impact leadership role for a high-agency operator who thrives in ambiguity and brings analytical rigor to complex financial challenges and enjoys scaling a high-growth company. You will act as a primary architect of our financial strategy, ensuring our long-term growth is supported by robust planning and actionable insights.

In this role, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and lead a dedicated team. You will collaborate closely with Accounting, Capital Markets, Go-To-Market (Sales & Marketing), Product, and Human Resources to drive company-wide alignment and performance. This position is based in our San Francisco headquarters with in-office days on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Responsibilities
  • Lead company-wide financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including the annual budgeting process, long-range planning, liquidity forecasting, and ongoing business performance reviews.

  • Design and manage the internal operating cadence for financial reporting, providing the executive team and board with data-driven visibility into business health and risk.

  • Partner with Go-To-Market and Product leaders to develop sophisticated pricing models, unit economic analyses, and impact sizing for new strategic initiatives.

  • Serve as a strategic project leader for high-priority corporate initiatives, including capital raises, ensuring cross-functional accountability and rigorous financial execution.

  • Build and scale the Strategic Finance function, managing and mentoring a high-performing team and implementing scalable financial systems and dashboards.

  • Champion the adoption of AI tools and automation across the Strategic Finance function, identifying opportunities to streamline reporting, forecasting, and analysis workflows and building a culture of continuous innovation within the team.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in a blend of strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or corporate strategy—ideally within high-growth fintech, tech, or healthcare environments.

  • Proven track record of managing complex financial performance, KPI ownership, and facilitating decision frameworks for executive leadership.

  • Exceptional analytical capabilities with the ability to translate large datasets into compelling strategic narratives and business cases.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy, build trust, and drive clarity across executive, technical, and operational teams in high-ambiguity environments.

  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on doing things the right way and maintaining a high personal standard of excellence.
