This leader is directly responsible for providing leadership to the Patient Financial Services division at Optum360. This positing is a critical member of the Revenue Cycle Operations leadership team; driving a strong billing and collections performance results to meet our clients' goals. Revenue Cycle VP is responsible for providing leadership and deployment of resources to ensure the development and execution of service delivery commitments while continuously driving improved RCM performance, productivity and profitable growth to achieve successful outcomes. Success is defined by driving efficiency, effective partnership, influence, and collaboration across teams and initiatives in addition to industry standard KPIs and SLA performance targets.
In addition to the leadership of the operational area, this position will have significant interaction with prospective and current client leadership. This individual must provide collaboration with technology and solution design teams, while continuing to deliver strong results to our clients.
This position will require 30% travel and flexibility to telecommute.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead multi-functional teams delivering strong patient financial performance results to accelerate cash and eliminate lost revenue
  • Lead a team to deliver consistent improvements through data analysis, trending, root cause analysis identification and strong project management, and value-added reporting to reduce denials, write-offs, rework, and aging A/R
  • Strategic planning to deliver scalable, evolving, and RCM solutions to meet developing client demands with collaboration with supporting areas to improve overall performance measures internally and externally
  • Building strong and collaborative relationships with client, client management leaders, and other key stakeholders and matrixed partners to ensure we are exceeding expectations and raising areas of concern proactively
  • Effectively utilize tools and data to capture and continually improve client and patient satisfaction
  • Ensure leadership team is effectively monitoring and cascading information internally and externally to affect change and communicate performance
  • Leads by example while promoting teamwork by fostering a positive, transparent and focused working environment which achieves maximum results
  • Collaborates with and seeks to influence leaders across various functional areas to deliver effective outcomes, programs and service offerings to align with organizational goals and objectives
  • Lead a team that delivers consistent, strong revenue cycle management performance outcomes for the clients including billing and collections along with other functions per client agreements
  • Strategic planning to deliver scalable, evolving solutions to meet developing client demands
  • Collaboration with supporting matrixed areas to develop long term standard global operating model
  • Building strong and collaborative relationships with client management leaders to ensure we are exceeding expectations and raising areas of concern proactively
  • Effectively utilize tools and data to capture and continually improve client and patient satisfaction. Ensure leadership team is effectively monitoring and cascading this to the line level staff
  • Leads by example; promotes teamwork by fostering a positive, transparent and focused working environment which achieves maximum results
  • Collaborates with and seeks to influence leaders across the various functions to deliver effective outcomes, programs and service offerings to align with organizational goals and objectives

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience leading acute RCM operations overseeing an Acute centralized business office and supporting multiple hospitals and/or clients with an ability to demonstrate detailed experience of end-to-end revenue cycle processes, workflows, technology solutions, automation, reporting, and payer processing including interfacing with executive and C-Level leadership
  • 5+ years of experience in client management within a healthcare delivery system interfacing with enterprise level executives
  • 5+ years of experience in progressive leadership role analyzing data, identifying root cause, and solutioning to drive accurate claims submission and reduce denial volumes while accelerating cash
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing complex market opportunities and develop creative solutions to a wide variety of unique market problems; advanced consultative selling skills with the ability to successfully construct solutions related to payer behavior issues
  • 2+ years of experience building and maintaining rapport and influence with enterprise level executives
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time on a sustained basis

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience leading acute RCM operations overseeing an Acute centralized business office and supporting multiple hospitals and/or clients with an ability to demonstrate detailed experience of end-to-end revenue cycle processes, workflows, technology solutions, automation, reporting, and payer processing including interfacing with executive and C-Level leadership
  • 10+ years of experience in client management within a healthcare delivery system interfacing with enterprise level executives
  • 10+ years of experience in progressive leadership role analyzing data, identifying root cause, and solutioning to drive accurate claims submission and reduce denial volumes while accelerating cash

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $159,300 - $273,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
