Overview 

As the Vice President of Digital Transformation you will play a critical leadership role in advancing Carbon Direct’s mission. You’ll oversee the development and scaling of science-first, data-driven advisory services via integration of technology, drive innovation in advisory offerings, and lead business development of digitized advisory services to grow our client portfolio. This is a high-impact executive position suited for an individual with deep experience in management consulting, sustainability, and technology adoption.

You’ll bring both strategic vision and operational expertise to help shape and expand Carbon Direct’s advisory capabilities in alignment with our science-based, data-driven ethos. 

Responsibilities 

Advisory Digital Innovation
  • Design scalable, tech-enabled advisory solutions that leverage data and AI and that build off of and enhance Carbon Direct’s existing services and brand
  • Manage the development of high-quality datasets that underpin the quality and integrity of tech-enabled advisory solutions
  • Lead and initiate cross-functional collaborations with our science, data enablement, product, and engineering teams to ensure offerings are analytically rigorous and actionable
  • Build repeatable frameworks and methodologies that underpin advisory services
  • Coordinate with a range of technical contributors, strategists, and client managers to drive impact and assure client satisfaction
Strategic Leadership
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to inform the strategic direction for the company including growth plans, resource allocation, and team structure
  • Serve as a public-facing thought leader and internal champion of the use of digital tools for decarbonization
  • Translate emerging sustainability trends and policies into actionable service and sales strategies
Client and Business Development
  • Cultivate and expand senior-level relationships with corporate and institutional clients for new digital advisory services
  • Lead go-to-market strategy and revenue generation for digitized advisory services
  • Identify, pursue, and win high-impact engagements across industries
  • Manage and mentor team members to drive business development and capabilities

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in strategy, consulting, and/or advisory roles, with years in senior leadership (Director/Partner level). 
  • Proven experience applying data, AI/ML, and digital platforms to solve client challenges.
  • Track record of building and commercializing consulting or digital advisory practices
  • Deep domain expertise in sustainability and climate strategy; carbon management expertise strongly preferred

Skills & Attributes

  • Advanced degree required; PhD in a technical or scientific field preferred.
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator, with the ability to drive alignment across technical and commercial teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory and legal considerations relevant to digital platforms and data use
  • Thoughtful and pragmatic leader who thrives in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.

Salary Range

$204,000-$350,000
