Electrical BIM Manager is responsible for managing the BIM department and the BIM design of power systems and/or building systems and systems infrastructures. 


DUTIES & SCOPE:

  • Analyze the BIM requirements (BEP/BOD) of every project and plan for implementation.
  • Contribute to and oversee the development of a cost effective/constructible model.
  • Evaluate, lead, and configure detailing teams for each project.
  • Setup VDC Projects. Understand BIM scope of work and adhere to it.
  • Assist in resolving VDC design and coordination issues. Attend coordination meetings.
  • Practice accountability with coordinators and drafters.
  • Maintain communication with Operations teams on VDC budget and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Prefabrication to ensure a streamlined production process and logistics.
  • Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards for all deliverables.
  • Prepare and host training sessions. Train up, coach, and empower coordinators and drafters.
  • Monitor labor resources correlated with the workload.
  • Monitor progress on designated projects and ensure deliverables are being completed on schedule.
  • Collaborate with other VDC Managers in the implementation of standard practices, training, and development.
  • This role requires productive work along with managerial work. The amount of productive work will depend on workload.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideal candidate is an experienced Electrical Project Manager or Electrical Superintendent
  • Experience +3 years as VDC Manager in a similar construction company.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk production software (AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Navisworks, APL, BIM 360).
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate tasks, and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to upkeep and show a plan for each job and team member.
  • Desire and talent for training others.
  • Network with other teams: prefabrication, construction, regional directors.
  • Goal oriented and results driven

The starting base pay for this role is between USD $125,000.00 and $145,000.00 per year. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.  The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
