Gurnick Academy offers the Associate of Occupational Science in Ultrasound Technology. We are currently seeking an Ultrasound Professional for our open position for Ultrasound Program Director at our Gurnick, CA Campus. This is an on campus position.
Salary Range: $115,000-$130,000

Basic Function
The primary function of the Program Director (PD) is to ensure the daily delivery of the Ultrasound Technology program. The PD must ensure coordination with program didactic delivery and lab protocols with the other Ultrasound Technology programs on Gurnick’s campus. This is not limited to but includes the management and oversight of all instructors; didactic, lab and clinical affiliate. This also includes student academic management to ensure acceptable pass rates that meet school policy standards. Student management is maintenance of satisfactory academic progress to include tutoring support, grades, attendance, remediation, probation and reprimand documentations. PD will ensure all school policy and guidelines are met. Didactic instructor, student and student service evaluations will be kept up-to-date through faculty files. The PD will be introduced and will need to be knowledgeable and proficient on the following platforms used by Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts: Moodle, Trajecsys, Lanschool, and other UT teaching aide/platforms/systems. The PD will have worked with CAAHEP standards and accreditation process as it relates to Ultrasound Technology/Sonography/JRC-DMS in a college environment.
The Program Director (PD) reports to and works closely with the Dean of Imaging and/or Executive Program Director of Ultrasound Technology, Compliance Director and Chief Academic Officer in obtaining and maintaining CAAHEP Accreditation by creating and updating all published policies, procedures, training materials, and forms for the Institution. The PD is heavily involved with all accrediting and regulatory body reporting including but not limited to Annual Reports (CAAHEP, ABHES, BPPE), IPEDS reporting, new program applications, substantive change applications, etc.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years work experience as a staff sonographer at an imaging facility/hospital/clinic
- 3+ years of teaching experience is recommended
- 1-2 years of college administration experienced recommended
- ARDMS, RVT, RDCS Current licensure in good standing within their discipline
- Preferred management work experience in a school environment
- Organizational knowledge of educational institutions
- Working knowledge or experience interfacing with strategic partners
- Knowledge and prior work experience with CAAHEP standards and accreditation process as it relates to Ultrasound Technology/Sonography/JRC-DMS in college environment
