What We're Researching

We're running a paid study on how mid-sized and enterprise teams utilize project management technology to track their work. Understanding the friction points in daily collaboration helps identify areas where software can better support complex workflows. Your insights will inform how teams evaluate and deploy these platforms at scale.

How It Works

In this 30-minute virtual interview, you will connect with our team via video call to discuss your current project management stack. We will ask you to walk us through a typical week of task tracking, delegation, and reporting. You will reflect on the strengths and limitations of your primary tools, detailing how they integrate into your broader organizational processes. The conversation will focus heavily on your first-hand experience managing complex projects.

Who This Is For

We are looking for US-based project managers, product managers, and team leads at established companies. Ideal candidates actively use platforms like Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or Smartsheet on a daily or weekly basis. We welcome operations leaders, technical program managers, and agile coaches who heavily rely on these tools to coordinate team deliverables.

What You'll Do
  • Join a 30-minute virtual interview via video call

  • Discuss your daily and weekly routines for tracking project progress

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of your current project management software

  • Detail how your team collaborates across different departments or disciplines

Who Should Apply
  • Active project manager, product manager, or team lead

  • Frequent user of major project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com)

  • Experience coordinating workflows in a mid-sized or enterprise organization

  • Comfortable discussing team collaboration and task delegation processes

Compensation

$105 one-time

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
