Position Summary
The Underwriting Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of a wholesale insurance team by managing binding processes, navigating carrier portals, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of policy documentation. The position is responsible for handling endorsements, gathering and organizing required file information, and maintaining strong communication with agents and carriers to resolve questions and obtain necessary details. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with a foundational understanding of insurance processes and a desire to grow their knowledge of the industry and the wholesale brokerage space.What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the team with binding processes.
- Navigate carrier portals to complete bind orders efficiently.
- Process paperwork and follow up on outstanding documentation.
- Handle endorsement requests and processing.
- Gather and organize required information to complete files.
- Set up and maintain files, including importing documentation as needed.
- Request necessary information from agents in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with carriers to resolve questions and disputes.
- Provide general team support as needed.
- Continuously build knowledge of the industry and the role of wholesale within it.
Work Experience and Education:
- BA/BS degree in Business or Risk Management.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a related field or similar role.
- Knowledge of insurance and policy issuance systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The target hourly rate range for this position is $23.00 - $28.85 per hour.The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
