The scope also includes visual identity work, website and landing page design, hands-on build-out in Framer, and creation of marketing assets that keep product and brand in sync.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end mobile app experience for messaging and calling across iOS and Android.

  • Partner with engineers to ensure design fidelity, thoughtful handoff, and fast execution.

  • Define and evolve the visual identity across product, website, and marketing touchpoints.

  • Produce marketing assets for social, product announcements, and investor materials.

  • Align product and brand through consistent typography, illustration, and motion.

  • Organize files, components, and documentation so teams can move quickly.

Requirements
  • Proven experience designing mobile apps and digital products.

  • Strong command of Figma for interface design, prototyping, and systems.

  • Ability to build sites in Framer and manage responsive, accessible layouts.

  • Detail orientation with high standards for visual quality and interaction design.

  • Comfortable collaborating in Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, and using ChatGPT to accelerate workflows.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain decisions with clarity.

  • Portfolio that demonstrates production-ready UI, thoughtful UX flows, and brand consistency.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years in UI/UX, Product Design, or similar.

  • Track record shipping mobile and web experiences for early-stage or fast-moving teams.

  • Experience translating complex communication flows into intuitive interfaces.

  • Bonus skills: motion design, Webflow familiarity, AI-assisted design workflows.

  • Strength in design systems, accessibility, and design QA with engineering.

Benefits
  • Full-time, 100% remote role with global collaboration.

  • Influence both product and brand across a high-utility, daily-use platform.

  • Opportunity to build an AI-native design process with a sharp, collaborative team.

  • Growth potential through diverse work across app UX, marketing, and identity.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

    • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
    • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
    • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
    • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
    • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
    • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
