About the role

We are seeking a UI-first designer with strong UX thinking, based in Los Angeles, who is comfortable working in a cross-time-zone, high-velocity, and high-ownership environment.

Job Responsibilities

UI Design Excellence

  • Deliver polished, high-fidelity UI for web and mobile products.

  • Own visual systems including layouts, typography, color palettes, iconography, and components.

  • Build intuitive and scalable interface patterns for ordering, menu, loyalty, CRM, and POS modules.

UX Thinking & User Research

  • Understand U.S. restaurant workflows deeply: FOH, BOH, online ordering paths, staff tools, reservations, marketing.

  • Simplify complex operational flows into easy-to-use experiences.

  • Conduct quick usability validations with operators and internal teams.

Design System & Implementation

  • Expand and maintain our design system, ensuring visual and interaction consistency.

  • Work with engineers to ensure high-fidelity implementation through specs, prototypes, and component documentation.

Basic requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in product design, with UI as a core strength

  • Strong visual/UI craft (layout, hierarchy, visual clarity, modern design patterns), proficiency in Figma and modern design collaboration tools.

  • Experience building SaaS, e-commerce, AI products(with strong portfolio).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in both English and Chinese.

  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Los Angeles area.

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional experience or thorough understanding of the restaurant/catering industry

  • Experience with AI or conversational interface design (voice/chat).

  • Have in-depth research on the operating behavior of mobile and PC users, be able to use design to guide user behavior, have exceptional experience perception capabilities, and continuously optimize product experience

  • Strong communication and project management skills
