TLDR: We're looking for someone who wants to build and run a full UGC growth engine. This person manages the whole network, keeps up to date on the latest social media trends, and loves the grind of trying to go viral 🚀

About Pikkit

At Pikkit, we’re building the home for sports betting. Today, we’re a social sports betting app with over 1 million users, 20,000+ 5 star reviews, and we’ve tracked over 30 billion dollars of legal US sports wagers through our app. We’re featured in industry reports from Citizens Bank, Houlihan Lokey, SBC, and more. We’re also backed by leading venture capitalists including Founder Collective, Baukunst, and Matrix. We’re a team of 15; we have an office in Flatiron in NYC and are all in-person. We move fast, build high quality products, and don't take ourselves too seriously. 😊

About the role

As the UGC Lead at Pikkit, you'll have the opportunity to engage with our excellent network of creators. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our social media presence and driving engagement through viral content. You'll work closely with our team to bring eyes and excitement to the Pikkit app across various platforms, ensuring our brand remains at the forefront of the social conversation.

Note: this is a part-time role, with expected hours of 20-30 hours per week.

What you'll do
  • Own the Entire UGC pipeline: Sourcing, Strategizing. Network Management, and Results.

  • KPI Ownership: Main goal is to grow likes, favorites, saves, reposts, comments, etc. for the UGC program

  • Sourcing and Management: Recruit and manage the roster of UGC creators. Act as the main point of contact for onboarding, contracts, deliverables, ideation, etc.

  • Content Strategization: Be the strategic lead for what content the creators are creating for each of the platforms; TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

  • Performance Analysis: Stay up-to-date on performance trends and track content performance across all the platforms. Optimize the content based on the results.

  • Contracts and Payments: Handle the tallying of views and videos posted then deliver on-time payments to all creators

What we're seeking
  • 1-3 years experience running a UGC team or UGC account, either for a brand or personally

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and how to generate viral content

  • Great communications skills to manage a network of UGC creators and communicate clearly the expectations for them

  • Scrappy, self-directed operator who’s comfortable owning execution end-to-end

  • Daily user of the Pikkit app with the ability to easily navigate and come up with new ideas for content using images from the app

  • Comfortable working part-time (20–30 hours/week), including flexibility around creators schedules

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
