The UCANZ Membership Value, Senior Manager, supports regional go-to-market strategy and marketing execution for Digital Manga, Games Vault, Regional Ecommerce Marketing and other emerging membership-value businesses.

Working in close partnership with global commercial centers, regional marketing leads and cross-functional teams, this role translates global strategies and objectives into locally relevant plans, briefs, activation calendars and campaign deliverables.

The role coordinates assigned workstreams across available regional channels—including O&O, lifecycle, social, PR, partnerships, events and paid media—to support business goals while ensuring each program strengthens the broader Crunchyroll membership proposition.

Success means delivering high-quality, timely, and measurable regional marketing programs that give fans more reasons to join, engage, stay and deepen their relationship with Crunchyroll.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Coordinate assigned workstreams across O&O, lifecycle, social, PR, partnerships, events and paid media, managing timelines, dependencies, approvals and handoffs.
  • Identify opportunities to connect related businesses and campaigns into a more cohesive regional Crunchyroll membership experience.
  • Track campaign and business performance, prepare reporting and recommend optimizations against acquisition, engagement, retention, revenue and membership-value goals.

REGIONAL GAMES VAULT MARKETING

  • Manage regional GTM and marketing execution for Games Vault in partnership with the global Games commercial center.
  • Support discovery, trial and engagement through O&O, lifecycle, social, paid media, partnerships, events and other regional channels.
  • Develop locally relevant campaigns connecting Games Vault titles with anime fandoms, franchises and cultural moments.
  • Support awareness and utilization of Games Vault as a meaningful membership benefit.
  • Maintain reporting on adoption, engagement and membership impact, and recommend optimization opportunities.

REGIONAL ECOMMERCE MARKETING

  • Lead execution of regional go-to-market and marketing plans for Crunchyroll Ecommerce in partnership with the global ecommerce team and relevant regional and enterprise partners.
  • Help translate the Store’s evolving mission into a locally relevant membership-value proposition: a premium, curated, members-first destination for exclusive anime merchandise, limited drops and distinctive fandom experiences.
  • Develop campaign briefs and channel plans that build demand for exclusive product drops and curated collections through IP-led storytelling connected to anime, characters and fan communities.
  • Support Ecommerce positioning as a meaningful Mega and Ultimate membership benefit, including targeted awareness and upgrade activity for eligible Fan audiences.
  • Coordinate integrated launch, drop and ongoing marketing activity across O&O, lifecycle, social, editorial, PR, influencers, partnerships, events, paid media, streaming surfaces and onsite experiences.
  • Manage execution across announcement, lookbook and anticipation, launch, sell-through, last-chance and evergreen phases, coordinating channel sequencing, assets, approvals and timelines.
  • Coordinate with Store, Product, Engineering, Creative, Content, Curation, Customer Experience, Lifecycle, Communications and Legal partners to align messaging, access rules, site readiness, localization and customer support.
  • Monitor product sell-through, engagement, conversion, membership upgrades, repeat visits, sentiment, customer feedback and retention signals; prepare insights and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure Ecommerce communications are fan-first, IP-centered, transparent, culturally relevant and consistent with Crunchyroll’s brand.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of experience in regional marketing, go-to-market, integrated marketing, campaign management, ecommerce, membership marketing or a related field within entertainment, media, streaming, technology, gaming or another consumer business.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
