Job Description

Nielsen is seeking a Treasury Manager, Capital Markets to lead key capital markets activities
across the treasury function. This role is responsible for managing debt and credit facilities,
driving cash flow forecasting, supporting debt investor relations, overseeing financial risk
management activities, and coordinating pension investment oversight. The role partners
closely with internal stakeholders and external financial partners, and prepares materials for
senior leadership audiences including the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and
Sponsors.

Key Responsibilities
Debt and Credit Facility Operations

  • Manage Nielsen’s revolving credit facility and AR securitization facility.
  • Oversee borrowing activity and the payment of principal, interest, and fees.
  • Manage loan rollovers and interest rate selections.
  • Lead debt covenant compliance reporting.
  • Coordinate the distribution of financial reports and disclosures to lenders.
  • Manage monthly AR securitization reporting and support the annual facility audit.
  • Obtain letters of credit and manage amendments as needed.

Cash Flow Forecasting

  • Drive Nielsen’s corporate cash flow forecast and long-term strategic cash forecast.
  • Coordinate forecasting inputs and activities across Treasury Operations, FP&A, Tax, and other corporate teams.

Reporting and Executive Presentations 

  • Prepare presentation materials and reporting for Board presentations, Sponsor Monthly Operating Reviews (SMOR), and Sponsor cash flow presentations.
  • Develop clear, senior-ready materials for key internal and external stakeholders.

Capital Transactions

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of long-term debt issuance and hedging activities.
  • Manage settlement of derivative transactions.
  • Support M&A due diligence and transaction execution.

Pension Investment Management

  • Coordinate fiduciary oversight of US pension investments through the pension investment committee.
  • Support corporate oversight of non-US pension investments.

Team Leadership

  • Train, develop, and manage the Capital Markets Analyst.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with banks and credit rating agencies.
  • Track and provide insights to the Treasurer on developments in Nielsen’s capital
  • structure, liquidity facilities, and lender community.
  • Partner with Financial Reporting, FP&A, Legal, executive team members, and private equity sponsor teams.
  • Support cash management activities, including approval of wire transfers.
  • Maintain treasury website content related to debt, interest, and derivative instruments.
  • Coordinate with Legal on financial institution know-your-customer (KYC) requests.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • CFA charter or progress toward CFA charter is a plus.
  • 5–10 years of finance experience, with prior treasury capital markets experience
    preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with leaders and colleagues across the
    organization.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated work style, attention to detail, and effective
    communication skills.
  • Experience working in a private equity-owned company is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
