Sony Music Entertainment is looking for a high-performing Travel Manager to join the Global Travel team. This role will manage travel operations, provide employee support, ensure compliance with travel policies, and maintain supplier relationships. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in corporate travel management, strong analytical skills, and experience with travel technology platforms. This a hybrid based role which requires an office cadence of 3-4 days into our Culver City office and reports to the Director of Global Travel.

What you'll do:
  • Employee Support & Issue Resolution:
    • Handle daily travel-related issues for employees and non-employees.
    • Provide training and support on Concur Travel and corporate travel policies.
    • Work with Travel Management Company (TMC) to resolve escalations.
  • Policy Compliance & Travel Program Governance:
    • Promote adherence to online booking, advance ticket purchasing, lowest logical airfare, and preferred suppliers.
    • Conduct governance meetings with Record Labels to review program compliance and address concerns.
  • Supplier & Program Management:
    • Develop strong relationships with TMC, airlines, and hotels to ensure best-in-class service.
    • Source and negotiate hotel accommodation for corporate travel, small-to-medium meetings, and high-profile events.
    • Conduct hotel and venue site inspections and provide recommendations.
  • Travel Technology & Workflow Oversight:
    • Troubleshoot Concur Travel and travel approval workflows, including out-of-office delegations.
    • Open support tickets and escalate travel technology and workflow issues.
    • Manage preferred hotel lists and ensure accurate data entry in the Online Booking Tool (OBT).
  • Reporting & Data Analytics:
    • Review and analyze TMC productivity and SLA reports and make recommendations for process improvement
    • Present insights to leadership and individual Record Labels to enhance travel efficiencies.
  • Duty of Care & Risk Management:
    • Ensure employee and non-employee safety while traveling.
    • Support corporate Duty of Care initiatives.
  • Ad Hoc Projects:
    • Assist with special projects to enhance travel management efficiency.
Who you are:
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate travel or hospitality industry.
  • Experience with Concur Travel & GDS systems.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels, including senior executives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business process analysis skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel (data analysis), PowerPoint (reporting), and Word.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Experience in corporate travel policy development and supplier contract negotiations.
  • Previous experience working with travel management companies or in-house travel departments.

  • The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $90k to $110k. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job
