General Information:
Hitachi Energy, located in Alamo, TN, is seeking a Test Engineer to join its team. This position will participate in the development and application of various processes and utilization of specialized equipment to efficiently accomplish such objectives as testing, production, modification, or repair of Hitachi Energy products.
Your Responsibilities:
- Write, maintain and analyze process recipes within several digital environments.
- Compile and assimilate data from various sources, conduct relatively routine operations and tests, prepare reports and develop graphics for presentations
- Participate in, and assist engineers involved in a variety of more complex engineering activities.
- Write technical specifications for equipment procurement.
- Monitor progress, comply with quality and schedule requirements, and maintain detailed logs and records.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment or major repairs.
- Integrate electrical systems with renewable energy systems to improve overall efficiency.
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications.
- Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.
- Design, implement, maintain, or improve manufacturing testing instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or domestic purposes.
- Estimate labor, material, or construction costs for budget preparation purposes.
- Plan or implement research methodology or procedures to apply principles of testing and electrical theory to engineering projects.
- Lead and participate in Kaizen and Process Excellence events using LEAN methodology to continuously improve manufacturing flows and processes.

Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, design, or manufacturing engineering.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- SAP and Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
