In this role as a Test Engineer I, you will provide technical laboratory support and perform testing in assigned disciplines to meet internal and external customer requests for metallic and non-metallic materials.

You will be responsible for collaborating with design engineers, manufacturing engineers and technicians, site quality leaders, vendors, suppliers, and/or external customers to create and execute test plans, develop new test capabilities, as well as maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces to comply with regulatory and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, vendors, and external suppliers (as needed) to develop and execute test plans based on internal and external customer requests in assigned technical disciplines, including mechanical testing.
- Develop new testing capabilities as necessary to meet requester needs, including identification of equipment, resources, writing procedures, and ensuring compliance to quality system requirements
- Maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces to comply with all regulatory and quality requirements, including performing 5S activities, inventory management for consumables, and receiving/shipping of goods.

Work Schedule: M-F (hybrid after 90 days)
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment, with general understanding of laboratory safety and quality
- Knowledge of basic materials testing, such as mechanical, metallurgical, or chemical
- Experience or ability to read engineering specifications or drawings
- Experience or ability to write work instructions
WE VALUE
- Knowledge and experience in one or more materials testing or analytical techniques, including wet chem, ICP, FTIR, tensile testing, hardness testing, metallography, gravimetric analysis, or viscosity testing
- Knowledge of Aerospace Quality Systems or regulatory requirements such as AS9100, ISO17025, or Nadcap AC7101 or AC7108
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and proactively develop solutions to move work forward
- Experience interfacing with customers to understand their needs and ability to execute to their desired timelines
- Ability to cope with high demand environment where priorities change frequently, and many jobs are being worked at the same time
The annual base salary range for this position is $71,000 - $89,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
U.S PERSON REQUIREMENT
