A busy CPA firm is seeking a Temporary Tax Associate to provide immediate support during a high-volume tax season. This is a great opportunity for an experienced tax professional who can step in quickly, make an immediate impact, and potentially transition into a permanent role.
The Temporary Tax Associate will prepare business tax returns, support year-round tax compliance, and work closely with a collaborative team to help manage a busy client workload. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and ready to contribute from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare corporate (C-Corp and S-Corp) and partnership tax returns
- Assist with ongoing tax compliance and related tax projects
- Utilize QuickBooks Online to support tax preparation and reconcile client financial data
- Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines
- Collaborate with the accounting team to help reduce backlog and support seasonal workload
- Maintain accuracy and compliance throughout the tax preparation process
Qualifications
- Proven experience preparing corporate and partnership tax returns
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced CPA firm environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- CPA, EA, or progress toward licensure is a plus, but not required
