In this role, you will support with documentation needs by assisting with content research, editing, formatting, and maintenance of materials that support internal systems, regulatory compliance, and business processes. Ensure documentation meets standards for clarity, readability, and quality across the organization. Guided by lead technical writers and leadership, help translate complex operational and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable policies and procedures written in a unified and practical style.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with technical writing team and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) leaders to support the editing and lifecycle maintenance of credit union documentation such as policies and procedures via the SharePoint Document Review Workflows
- Assist in editing, proofreading, and formatting documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to internal style guides
- Support needed outreach with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the credit union lines of business, reporting back to other technical writers and ERM leaders for further action
- Support ensuring documentation version control and key data attributes are appropriately logged in the internal system of record (i.e., GRC system)
- Support translating business operations, technical material, and regulatory and compliance requirements into functional policies, standards, and procedures with appropriate specificity, plain language style, and uniform voice, with a focus on sound business practices
Bachelors Degree - Technical Writing, Creative Writing, Journalism or Related- Minimum
Years of Experience:
- 1 year - Technical writting, editing, process documentation or related - Minimum
- Writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely
- 2 years - Technical writting, editing, process documentation or related
License/Certifications/Training:
Compensation & Benefits:
Typical hiring range: $67,100 - $94,750 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills & knowledge.
