About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide critical assistance to our clients and hosts. You’ll be the first line of defense for customers running AI workloads, diagnosing infrastructure issues, and driving product improvements. This is a full time, salaried, onsite position that requires daily coverage to ensure our customers receive timely and effective support. The support that you provide will often be highly technical in nature and will require SysOps expertise.

  • Location: Los Angeles, CA (in‑office, 5 days/week) – easily accessible 10/405 freeways; free on‑site parking or pre‑tax commuter benefits available.

Vast.ai users or hosts strongly preferred.

  • Provide technical support to customers and hosts via email, chat, and phone
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to our GPU rental platform
  • Maintain and update support documentation

  • A self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

To be successful as a Support Engineer, you should have a strong understanding of Linux, Docker, running GPU workloads and system administration. Much of our support involves troubleshooting GPU-related issues, Docker containers, performance tuning, and assisting with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Must-haves
  • Linux sysadmin or DevOps experience
  • Proficiency with Docker and GPU drivers (NVIDIA CUDA)
  • Hands-on with AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Strong English written/verbal communication
Nice-to-haves
  • Familiarity with VMs
  • Prior experience in cloud-native support roles
  • Knowledge of Vast.ai platform (preferred)
Annual Salary Range

$100,000 - $160,000 USD + equity + benefits
