ABOUT THE JOB:
The Business Systems team is responsible for building and improving the many business systems that enables Anduril to accomplish its mission. Anduril’s supply chain, accounting, sales & growth, engineering, field maintenance, quality, manufacturing, and many more teams rely on the technology built by us. We work across the company to ensure we have the tools and capabilities necessary for mission success.
As Manager of Quality Systems, you will be the leader of Anduril’s “Quality Operating System (QualOS for short)”, which is a cross-discipline team of PMs, Engineers (software and analytic), solution and business process architects, and other technologist responsible for delivering solutions that enable the performance of Anduril’s Quality organizations. To accomplish this, you will partner with multiple stakeholder teams including Quality Engineering, Reliability, Configuration Management, Production/Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Test & Evaluation, Analytics, and more to identify and deploy technology solutions that accelerate their work. You will develop a detailed understanding of each team’s challenges and requirements to understand what solutions can best address their needs. You will architect and build solutions, drive adoption, and enable best practices for scale and efficiency. Because these teams have different use cases and timelines, you must be an agile, general-athlete style PM who can pivot from deep diving the intricacies of how one team executes a technical workflow, to closely examining the metrics of the systems to understand where the failure points are, to mapping an intertwined set of dependencies to build a roadmap, to updating executives on the current and future sets of your program all in the course of a single day.
- Developing the QualOS vision for Anduril, ensuring that our internal tech stack maximizes the impact of Quality users across the hardware development cycle, making one of our Quality engineers as effective as five at traditional manufacturers.
- Serve as the “single threaded leader” for QualOS, orchestrating the investment made by many teams (Software PM and engineers, Analytics Engineers, Solution and Business Architects, Sysadmins, etc.) within the Corporate Technology department and be the point of contact between CorpTech and all Quality departments at the company.
- Setting the QualOS roadmap, ensuring it maximizes business impact and solves the most pressing problems in order of importance
- Communicating across stakeholders on your program's development and roadmap, as well as monitoring and reporting on program performance to understand if business outcomes are getting met
- Driving adoption and enablement through the use of change management tools, schedules, and user engagement (UAT, training, sandbox environment, piloting, etc).
- 7+ years in Product or Program Management, dealing with both technical and non-technical teams
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing and Quality processes
- Excellent written / verbal communication and project management skills
- Ability to think systemically, take decisive action quickly, and above everything else, find a way for the business to win
- Deeply analytical in nature, with the ability to harness data to drive decisions and build solutions to capture and enrich data where it is lacking
- Experience with coordinating and directing the effort made by a wide variety of technologist skillsets, including software development (PMs and engineers), enterprise systems (solution architects, solution engineers, sys admins), and data (analytic and data engineers, data analysts)
- Experience with quality management processes, including: Non-Conformance Management, Corrective And Preventative Actions, Supplier Quality, and Risk Mitigation
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001
- Expertise in the development of both 1P (built) and 3P (bought) enterprise systems, with strong understanding of: access controls / security, infrastructure, feature development, configuration, administration, integrations, etc.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to challenge traditional approaches when it comes to developing technology solutions rather than just default to “buy new shiny software” mentality
- Demonstrated success decomposing a problem into addressable component parts and arranging the correct sequencing
- Proven ability to “see around corners” by crafting a strategy for 12-18 months into the future
- Must be able to travel up to 33% of the time, as your stakeholders will be geographically dispersed
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
