Technical Recruiter Location: United States | Type: Full Time | Setup: Remote | Experience: 3 to 5+ years | Pay: $70K-$95K
About the Role You'll own technical searches end to end, from understanding what a hiring manager actually needs to putting the right specialist in front of them. At Elios, recruiters aren't resume forwarders. You'll learn the technical context well enough to tell a strong backend engineer from one who just lists the right keywords.
This role suits someone curious about the work itself. You don't need to code, but you do need to understand why a Kubernetes background matters for one role and not another, then ask the questions that surface it.
What You'll Do
- Run full-cycle technical searches across software, data, AI, and cloud roles
- Sit with hiring managers to map what a role really requires before sourcing a single candidate
- Screen for substance, using our platform to move faster without dropping the bar
- Give every candidate honest feedback, even the ones you pass on
- Keep clients updated with specifics, not vague status pings
- Build a network that trusts you because you were straight with them
Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years in technical or agency recruiting
- A track record of closing hard-to-fill technical roles
- Enough technical fluency to hold your own with engineers and hiring managers
- Sharp written communication; you write updates people actually read
- Organized under load, able to run several searches without losing threads
- Houston-based and able to work hybrid from our office
Why Join Us Elios was built by operators who got tired of waiting six weeks for unvetted resumes. We do it differently: fewer, better candidates, screened by people who understand the work. Our 1 in 3 candidate-to-hire rate is the proof.
You'll work alongside technologists, learn the domains you recruit for, and watch your placements actually stick.
